    Well the point being is your replacement would do the same, and so on and so on. Not sure how long or what GF would do, but I would surmise if everyone stood for the same thing, they couldn't just keep things as they were. But of course, this is just a frustrated response by myself and I am sure many others. Not sure how long you have been playing for, but I am sure both can agree amount of players is dropping. I know this is an old game, but that doesn't mean it has to die from implosion.......

    Let us say I play by your rules in this case.

    What exactly do you hope to gain?

    What is it you think this would prove or solve?

    You would keep the account tied up in ban land forever or make it virtually unplayable; a real deterrent and a warning to everyone else. Plus it would send a stronger message to GF that they made the wrong choice. There are times when lines get crossed and it is ok to peaceful speak or create a breakdown. Unless , of courese, this is not a hill people are willing to die or make a stand over............

    See this is where you are wrong, you could just simply, keep banning the people out of protest and let them escalate escalate the ticket. and then piink can unban, then you re-ban, etc,etc,etc. Not like there is a lot of extra staff hanging around. What are they going to do fire you all? Or better yet, set a delay so the payment ban kicks in after 24 hours or 48 hours. Were they open to that.

    Sadly this is exactly what can easily happen. As kewl said, those boundaries were set by GF. I agree with our GA here.

    Or everyone can do what I did, delete all accounts in your "fun" universes and keep the serious one and stop buying DM. I haven't bought any DM in over a year, this payment ban is another reason to put my efforts elsewhere. This game is like a ship with a rotten hull, every time you patch one leak, 2 more appear.......

    Everytime I go to attack the asteroid in slot 17 it says "colony ships must be used to colonize this planet". doesn't matter if I try to launch from galazy view or manually enter the numbers it will not let me attack them. I can spy them, but not attack them. Even using a colony ship says the same error.

    Man, uni is loaded with res.....time to take the rips out for a walk. Defender, VFR not much more to add....

    Other night I was probing around, did not see much, so I thought I would start peeking around at defiance. When reports were in I was O.O. There was millions of res on all of defenders moons! almost ran out of cargos and waiting for silly JG timers was not a lot of fun, but everything came together and I got everything. This was my best farm ever.....and I didn't have to use my rips. Felt like I binge watched Welcome back Carter, oh the good ole days......

    I am not picking sides, but I just wanted to share a situation I/we had with a mod in Uni-30......We were all ingame adversaries for many years, so there was always some good back and forth jabs, which TBH were pretty funny. Anyway, the mod would close out the threads way quick. Mod was very consistent, not picking a side. On a whim, I pm'd mod(I think it was snowman or snowball????) I asked nicely if they could "give us a little room" to have some fun. To my surprise, he responded with some questions, as he thought we were "fighting", I explained that I could only speak for myself and most of my ally mates, but we were laughing on whatsapp, and stuff about it. He/She though about and agreed to give it a trial run, no staff bashing...... and man those were the best board times I had seen in a while. Trial expired and we enjoyed months of entertaining posts. Admittedly, cheating wasn't so rampant back then so not so sure how that would work now. But I know that when he/she stepped down, I thanked him/her for the great board times. Mod said, that he had to grit his teeth sometimes, but commented that we kept things in check far better then he thought. And that he never saw our side of it. Also mod was very happy to receive some positive feedback and gratitude from player base when he left mod duties.

    Just hope we can find middle ground here. Boards used to be so much fun, was daily entertainment. Now not so much.

    To be fair, the trigger that caused this blow up needs to be consistently dealt with and explained to the members. Please.

    I don't want to be that player or staff member that is resented for not pulling my weight, so better to move onward.


    Trust me, you will be resented for much more then that.....

    I am certainly not going to miss you in game;ever. But I will wish you well and all the best in RL.

    Well this patch to me has been a disappointment:

    1 - I will continue to fall rapidly behind

    2 - paying for geologist for the extra 10% was/is not worth it at all 2% increase(lol)

    3 - the 150% crawlers, doubled the amount of energy required 50k to 100k

    4 - total resources increase was 34 million (rounded up) 43.5-37.5-38 mines(150% crawlers)

    5 - I am a much bigger target

    6 - to invest in fusion tech to level 22 will require 5 billion+ resources

    7 - to build fusion plants will cost roughly 15 billion resources

    8 - my lack of planet spaces will required 2.8 kk DM to increase planet fields (my smallest planet was 220 fields when I started)

    If I sit back and think of it, IMO, this "update" was a means to siphon more DM from the collector class.....

    I fully support Disco getting more advantage compared to collector class as I acknowledge the extra effort and risk required)

    I don't think this update was thought out well(both past and present)

    To, me the whole point of this is to get collectors to buy DM to:
    -move planets to get the metal bonus

    -increase in planet fields

    -to get the crawler bonus.

    Overall, not very impressed. 8 months for this let down? Now I know how wife feels when I forget her birthday........

    Maybe piink could give us her thoughts? Is there more going on? Is this considered complete? This has been a solid thread, with good ideas and conversation.....Would be nice to know what staff think.

    Well if you want to feed General, then increasing the amount of crawlers will be make for juicer targets and help spice that side of the game up. We all can agree that collector is passive income and requires minimal investment of time.....BUT, that is no excuse for "playing" the collector class out of the game.....From my 12+ years playing, as long as the uni had active and healthy miners it kept the uni active and ally's are required; very important for duet and trades. Even if you allowed economy of collector to "double" the disco class will still be vastly ahead. DeepMiningInc some of my ally mates are making 10 billion+ a day from expos. doubling my output would still not catch them. Anymore changes to disco and too many disco will quit and vmode; they already not happy (can't blame them, GF took the crappiest "fix"). And from the crawler power requirements and profitability from res and planet crashes, the miners and rippers will "determine" the correct amount of DF size (or maybe make crawlers 100% DF eligible???).

    Lastly, piink you mentioned you brings forth concerns, would be nice to hear your thoughts on this, or on our our suggestions. She might see GF side as well as ours and offer a compromise or another view or option we are missing?

    It is not to shabby until you compare it to expos sent with transports.......they will make 4 or 5 times that in a day; easily. So while I agree with you that there will be some bonus, it will be negated by high energy cost and disco's will still be running away with the game. Only way to help the collector class is to remove the limit of crawlers and keep the energy usage what it is now, although tying crawler output to a tech would be an improvement.

    I wholeheartedly disagree, I think even without pirate fights disco classes gain too much from the eco speed bonus

    Collector and crawlers would have to multiply my production by 4 to compare to my disco gains


    Granted I pretty much havent touched mines in about a year now, but my disco income is ~2.5x my mines income


    I didn't mean a lot more, but they/you/diso should get something more for the amount of time submitted. But I agree it shouldn't be so crazy one sided as it is now. IMO they should let collector class have unlimited crawlers or have the crawler output linked to some tech to increase there output.

    You can't say there is no point being collector, for certain players who are fairly passive and who are not fussed about rank it gives a nice resource boost but as said by others it could use the bigger planets that discoverer gets. The biggest issue has been that only 1 play style had any chance of being highly ranked and thats not what Ogame used to be. It has simply taken too long to do anything about the gains being made from pirate/alien DF and the damage in most unis has already been done.

    Ok, here are my stats as collector...44-38-38


    "Increasing" my crawlers from 100% to 150% across 14 planets gives me an "increase" of:


    1.2 million metal

    392,000 cry

    260,00 duet (note duet is averaged due to different planet locations)

    That is a day total, less then 2 million res. I fully understand and support Disco should get more from expos. But if this was about balancing, they really missed the mark (again). Not to mention the amount of power usage makes me a bigger target and/or kills my duet consumption. I play(ed) as a ripper, so not like I don't commit some time to the game.......although when my officers run out I see little point in continuing with them.

    Only way to make collector even close to competing would be to have unlimited crawlers......and TBH, the fleeters and rippers would control that balance as there would be tons of profitable hits.

    Unless they remove the limit on crawlers there is no point in being collector......I understand Disco classes being frustrated at the changes, but GF gave collectors a sinking ship from the onset and this new "patch" is nothing more then another torpedo heading towards the ship.
