To anyone reading this in the far future, I highly suspect you are in universe 1 by now, if only you could have seen this message earlier you would have just started or chosen to be there to begin with.

looks as though you have this universe under your thumb at this point, was always going to happen was just the matter of when.
Despite my love for muppets and the alliance we formed, the best moments of Ogame for me was the 2/3 years before the merge that brought muppets to us.
FGR v Assassin, back and forth top 10's, reasonably balanced universe in terms of military power on both sides, competitive rivalries all made the experience fun and exciting.
Sometimes I miss those days and playing with my team, I was never really a 'fleeter' just had a fleet to throw in as support for the most part but that was always fun.
Anyway rambling on at this point, keep smashing Rya, would like to see more of those ACS top10 replaced though with some street tags.

I think you're missing this point when people are doing this now.
Plenty of those attacks you see on MMO are either unprofitable bashes, failed launches hitting defence regardless and very very low profit farms.
What you say would ring true if the occurrence of losses on this scale was very rare, once maybe twice a year but you might be able to tell from the forum as of recent this has become a semi-regular thing for our assassin friends.

Most of those accounts within the top 50 beside the master pull accounts likely spent less than $2k max to build them which lets be real is nothing over a 3/4 year period with a good job if this is your hobby.
If this was even remotely close to reality, in this server there would be tens - if not hundreds - of accounts with over 300 Mn battlecruisers and over 100 Bn points.
Lets just pretend for a minute I wasn't at the helm of FGR and its diplomacy, organised the muppets/fgr relationship, had first hand experience at what was happening at the time then sure you guys are correct.

Captain Phasma I still roam the halls now and then out pure intrigue, I was sorry to see this hit but what you wrote I understand, this game can become a burden to normal life if you let it.
I enjoyed our history in this game going back to days of you being in FGR with me, fond memories of us being underdogs fighting those more powerful than us back when the game was a little more fun.
I do not think you'll regret your decision, focus on what is important outside this game and I hope you succeed in every aspect.

Even I cannot defend this one in any conceivable way.
The only way this happens is lack of communication, loss of passion for your work and poor management.
Perhaps it is time to rethink internal strategy and process and come back stronger.
If this was due to being forced to meet a deadline perhaps realistic time frames need to be discussed going forward.

Game Forge doesn't care...
Looking at other communities and ours, the fault is with our COMA.
Some of the other communities had forum discussions with their COMAs (who are paid employees) to get community feedback before the merges happened, ours didn't.
The volunteers (GAs, SGOs, GOs, BAs, etc.) will and have voiced their opinions on what they think would be best for the community and will send up their thoughts on what unis should be designated target and exodus. And Game Forge will always come back with something completely different and no feedback for their reasoning (at least that's what they're told by the COMA).
Prongs should change his name to Shingles...because he doesn't care (not everyone will understand the reference).
We really should have a campaign and a petition to have Prongs removed as our COMA. Do a search history of Prong's posts. Virtually zero community involvement other than posting announcements and events. I believe he has only replied to one thread in an actual player-created post/discussion since the 2023 merge fiasco that he was responsible for.
While Cathedral is welcome to his own opinion and there is nothing wrong in having one, for those with an open mind I would encourage you to not take the suggestion that Prongs does not care as fact.
As a previous BA working alongside Prongs I can tell you all that he very much cares and has done so much for org in the background that most of you will never understand.
Prongs has reformed the entirety of the working culture amongst org volunteer workers for the best and created a team that works in cohesion unlike under previous comas.
Prongs prefers to let the GA and BA be at the forefront leading the community driven communications and they all feedback into him any concerns and queries they have.
Prongs reads far more of what goes on this board than you may realise and many of his ideas and communications come via the Admins back to the community.
People can have their opinion and that is fine but from experience I can say the opinion above is wrong.
The decisions in this merge most definitely would have been thought through and there will be reasoning behind the choices made even if they are not evidently obvious now, sometimes future updates that the community does not know about can impact choices like this.
Either way Prongs will very much so be aware of this thread and if the concerns were strong enough and valid enough I am sure he would take those into consideration if possible.
