Hello Zibal!

For those who don't know me, I came from the smallest 1x uni that was thrown into this pool of sharks - Aquarius.

Naturally, like most 1x players, I'm not happy with this merge nor the 2x speed, so I have no plans of actively playing this uni.

Ironically though, it's thanks to this merge that I was able to finally catch RAAS, whom, due to my laziness, managed to escape from Aqua with his fleet intact.

The hit itself was a simple spy n fly but, as always, I didn't have enough recs, so ended up losing 20bn df to a certain twerp

Regardless of that, I certainly had a lot of fun these last few days here, but now it's time to watch from the sidelines.

I wish everyone out there good luck.

Why not make Dorado a target for both merge groups?

For that to happen you'd need to have the right people reading my post, and then actually have them convinced that their merge plan sucks, and this one is better.

But in the end of the day they'll just be too stubborn to change and to listen to what the community says. I bet they won't even bother to read...

Been looking at the number of players that are active for each fleet speed and the results are shocking:

83% of the active players in this merge will lose their current fleet speed!

*numbers taken today from mmorpg

There's currently no 1x 4x or 5x targets, so that's 66% of the active players being affected. Then there's the 2x and 3x speed unis, with a couple of each, where one is a target in a merge group and the other is an exodus in the other group. That adds more 17% that will lose their current fleet speed, making the total of 83%.

Another interesting thing about these numbers is the number of active players per merge group:

• Merge Group 1 - 709 ~40%
• Merge Group 2 - 1082 ~60%

If we considered merge groups based on fleet speed then we could have something like:

• Merge Group 1 - 1x and 2x speed unis - 958 players ~53%
  • Targets: Mensa and Zibal
• Merge Group 2 - 3x 4x 5x and 6x speed unis - 833 players ~47%
  • Targets: Bellatrix and Oberon

Not only the numbers would be more balanced this way, as there would be far less players losing their preferred fleet speed.

Splitting the merge groups by points also makes sense, if you did it properly. But right now that logic is ruined by the current targets in Group 2 - they're at the same size of several exodus in Group 1, meaning they're a lot bigger than the exodus of group 2.

All in all, there's a lot that could be improved here but I doubt that will happen...

Just wanted to point out that there's roughly 1800 active players in the universes of this merge and that over 800 of them are playing 1x speed.

That's nearly half of the active players losing their desired fleet speed!

It would be wiser to split the merge groups by fleet speed rather than points, but whatever...

There's 6 1x speed unis in these merge groups and not a single one of them is a target.

And then there's two 6x speed unis as a target...

Just get rid of the merge groups, and allow 4 targets for all the other unis:

• 1x speed - Mensa (165), with 7x eco
• 2x speed - Zibal (152)
• 3x speed - Bellatrix (154)
• 6x speed - Fenrir (158) or Oberon (141)

The bug was made public on the official discord, but obviously it was handled as GF knows best, they just banned the guy that brought it up...

For the ones that are curious, the new ships added to with the MCO get subtracted from your total ship count every time you lift them. Since the ship count is updated instantly one can know the exact moment someone fleetsaved.

This bug is mostly relevant for those that do dirty fleetsaves. Like in this case, the attackers were able to timeback a df fs without watching the df (it was impossible to create one). Of course, if you deploy and don't greet your fleet you're equally in risk. Basically, just follow fleetsaving 101 and you'll be fine.

Pretty sure this scenario would fall under this rule.

Whether it's for personal use, or for sharing your account with others, the person managing the account is technically concealing his actual IP address.

Of course, GF has no way of knowing that such tools are being used.

Stop worrying about what others do and just have fun doing whatever the fuck you want.

Ogame is just one big expedition fleet heading towards a blackhole anyway.

So why not remove the merchant as well then?

It's equally as bad for the game, and as a plus, it also adds a soft cap to the expos.

If you truly want to fix the game, you'll have to do a lot more than just removing the marketplace.

But imo, it's already too late...
