    That is very true, but everything else was effectively the same. I'm not arguing that merchant should be removed and I honestly think it should be put back in to the game, but I thought it was funny/interesting. I would also argue that the old universes were not in balance either, they were always crystal starved. But it was so much slower that the problem wasn't as noticeable, and as asto said there was not astro.

    I find it interesting that only now, many years after the redesign, people are complaining about a lack of crystal due to no merchant. Did we all become so intoxicated about the ease of crystal that we forgot that merchant hasn't always been there? What do you think we did before it existed in the first place? Now, I agree that the game would be much easier with the merchant and easy access to crystal, but to say that it's absolutely necessary to change the base game because of it is more of an indictment of the original base game to begin with. Which I remind everyone is something that was getting along just fine long before DM.

    Just got home from vacation and should add more details. Mobile view or not, I am unable to select anything other than 10% in Firefox on the most recent android OS. It does work with chrome for me however.

    When building my crawlers this morning I noticed my total being was slowly going up as I switched between the resources tab and buildings tab. I ended up building about 18 more crawlers than I originally attempted to build.

    Don't have to play 2 accounts effectively. This is a pure miner with poor techs and planet locations as a result. However, it's currently researching astro 14 and has res saved in 3 mines for 15 and is ranked 43 in economy. Would need some TLC to get some moons and relocate planets for fleeting.

    Probably because it wasn't worth fixing. Had it been a great roaring success, full of activity, they would have fixed it.

    Well there was no DM either, so even if a million people were playing GF wouldn't have had an incentive to fix it. I agree it wasn't worth their time to fix, I disagree on the root cause.

    The retro uni died because there was a bug that GF didn't want to deal with so they closed it, not because it wasn't being used afaik

    My 2 cents on this. If we're talking slot 15 at least, there is no good way to power mines besides fusion. You need to take into account the extra defense you need to build for those extra sats for slot 13 as well. For slot 15 with only 1-2 energy per sat you could never possibly build enough defense to protect them because by the time your mines are that high there will be 1000's of rips flying around to bash you, and solar plants would take way too many fields by themselves.

    I joined only because it was x1 all around. The moment we get merged with a faster uni I will either give away the account or perma v mode. If people merge into us then fine, but I already play another uni that's fast and dorado is the last remnants of a time before all the ridiculous speeds and i want to keep it that way.

    Why would you be doing relocation during a merge, when accounts are being thrown in daily?
    I would suggest waiting till it's all settled down before you try relocation again.

    Because this is the first time in months they've had a discount. I shouldn't have assumed GF were competent programmers and implement a flag so the merge script sees relocating planets in the merge uni the same as actual planets just like any other time and force the incoming people somewhere else. My bad.

    Merge script didn't honor my reserved planet slots for relocation. Hoping I still get a chance tomorrow but kind of a crappy thing waiting so long for the discount to have it partially ruined

    I'll probably join a new uni for the first time since the classic uni got closed. I love x1, and I realize it will be merged in time so when it gets announced I'll just delete the account. GF has now effectively implemented a timer to the unis which is almost nice to know my account will be worthless in a set amount of time lol.
