Tired of seeing hundreds of millions BC crashing around? How about some old school LF/BS/BC action

This is my first real hit and have a small story behind it. I found the defender FSing on an attack mission on an inactive planet and started watching him. After a few days, I was able to ping down his launch speed and timed his return. Sure enough, I messed up at the launch and had to recall. As a result, I can't send my dessie with the fleet.
FR defender, I hope you learn from this mistake and fs more responsibly.

thanks for the back and forth lol. Now I have the facts, I gotta do some math to see
1. if it's worthwhile to run those discovery missions
2. if so, which rewards has the highest value
If you can fill 10 more slots with inactive farming and earn 7-10mil from it then its better if you keep doing inactives xD. The rewards are just 7 days, you'll need to do 1000 discoveries missions or maybe even more to unlock all tiers unless you had full cap prior to it. I wanted to try and do it but since discoveries with bonus are not really giving any proper bonus i just stopped.
Now i don't know how much % expedition item buffs but again, its 7 days only so if you farm 1000 inactives instead of 1000 discoveries you'll probably get way more. That said, if you are not farming inactives and just do expos i don't see why you wouldn't want to fill slots with them for some freebies.
The math came out to be inactives are more profitable than these missions. However, I decided to do the discovery mission anyway since it's a special event and i need to have a little fun also sometimes.

IMO if you are a discoverer it is a real no brainer, no math required
but it does cost you significant fleet slots to do those duscovery missionsI am a discoverer but I fill all of my available with inactive farming all the time. So some math is need to calculate if doing discovery missions will yield more
How much do you gain per week (msu) from the inactives?
I do about 1.4B per day on inactives and only about 400M on expo. I spend way too much time on this game...

I noticed the same and stopped sending. I think there is a bug.

17M points and the rest of the top 20-50 will certainly all be using large amounts of DM.
400k points is achievable without DM mostly due to expeditions using the discoverer class... also at the start of the uni there was a rewards event which would have gifted boosts (and likely a health amount of cargos - used for expos).
Thanks! This is very helpful
All of those players probably have close to 500+ USD sunk into this uni, or more.
Hate to say it, but if you want to play Ogame, speed unis arent your friend. F2P in fast unis is pointless.
If you hop into an old, slow server like uni 1, F2P for a bit, and then throw some money at it down the line, youll have much more fun.My goal is to be a F2P miner that farms inactives from time to time and just mine peacefully. Do you recommend uni 1?
Also what does peaceful, war, holding mean? Thanks!

Hi all,
I recently came back to the game after a 10 year break. I joined the newest server that was started on 1/31/2025. I joined on 2/5/2025 (5 days after it started) and noticed that the top dogs of the server already have 17M points. The top 100 of the server also have over 400k points after only 6 days of playing.
I understand that the economy are now 8x and research time are 16x but is there something I should know in terms of new strategy because 17M points in 6 days is just ridiculous. Do people DM resources in this game on a regular basis now? Are those top 100 with 400k points DM users or just regular players?
Thanks,

it's ok, i can paste it here.
This will be my first and last post in this uni. Unfortunately I was on the wrong side of the battle. I started this uni 3 month late but managed to climb to where I am now, which I'm very proud of. I played this game back in 2006 when it was relatively new, quit multiple times and came back. I think this probably will be my last time playing since adult life simply doesn't give me enough time to play this game anymore. I also watched the game slowly dying and it's very sad.
Anyways, enough of that. Story behind this hit. I found an inactive 10ss away which had 350m def and 40m resource sitting. I only had 100 rips so I took multiple trips tearing down the def. After 5 waves, I was finally able to get the def down to about 100m. I was only 40 minutes away from getting my first scoop of that 40m resource and someone got to it before me. I was not happy but oh well. Little do I know Ever lanxed that inactive and saw my RIPs. I was careless and sent the RIPs at full speed (typical noob mistake). Ever timed back my RIPs perfectly but he messed up on the rec LOL. So after the hit, I DM-ed 4k rec and took the DF. Loss-loss for both Ever and me.
I still have 9 mines to finish before putting the account into v-mode (I like to finish what I started). But it feels good to finally be free of fleet saving, I swear I was more committed to this game than my wife. So thank you Ever for giving me an excuse to quit and my wife will thank you more as she will not see me checking my phone every 5 minutes anymore.
Cheers everyone and good luck to all.
