If you don't mind my asking Raya, why did you decide upon the course of joining up with Muppets? I do understand the decision not to join up with me. I am far from a cut throat in this game anymore. But why did you need to join up with anybody at all? It seems to me that you thrive on posting profound hits and you are about out of targets aren't you?

You didn't need muppets to support your attacks or help keep your fleet safe. You could attack any target in uni 1 at the time on your own, with no fear of reprisal and no natural predators. You did all the initial target research on your own. Nobody helped you with that. If you desire to conquer a universe, why did you then go and exempt the majority of fleeters? Once Pagan and I are gone, you don't have very much left to do do you? Chasing cargo fleets about requires a million bc, not a fleet of a billion ships.

I also don't understand the snarkiness about packs coming from an alliance whose foundation was completely built on them.

At any rate, good hit. I have faith that Pat and Pete are eventually going to get this figured out

I have been quietly watching Al for quite a very long while now. He went on a crusade to pummel my poor brothers and sisters in Jeb which it seemed would never end. I greatly desired to stop him at the time but could not. The Tentacles can wait for their prey to screw up until the stars burn out though and colony ships are the rarest and most delightful of delicacies. You guys have been avenged.

Good luck rebuilding Al. In your defense, you are the only fleeter besides Rya who presents a target.

Got to give a shout out to my brothers in arms in Assassin. Fortune in this game can change on a dime. You guys have been a great encouragement to me and I enjoy flying with you all.

The only part I can condone of the above is the part where you go out with a bang. You, betray. Everyone. You have no concept of integrating with a team or loyalty. No one wants to be around you. No one with any sense believes you. And nobody is going to give you their account so you can execute your half baked plans. So do us all a favor and either go stand in the corner and mutter to yourself about the stupidity of others and your half baked schemes, or go away.

But for the love of God, put up or shut up. I am tired of hearing about your vastly superior ogame intellect, the awesomeness of your plans that nobody wants anything to do with, or all the scheming and double talk you do with anyone who will pretend to listen. You should go join the make a wish foundation, because the only thing I see that you are truly good at, is begging others to make your hopes and dreams come true.

I was going to leave this topic alone, but in case anyone in uni 1 hasn't figured it out yet, you shouldn't trust Cimbi . Not a word that comes out of his mouth. He is actually the only point in history upon which Rya and I can fully agree. He would stab his mom in the back if he thought for a moment the act might bring him closer to whatever his convoluted goal of the moment may happen to be and that is but one of his many stellar qualities. I don't think I have ever encountered a player so universally and deservedly loathed.

It's true Dan was playing my account when it was crushed. I own the good and the bad though. It was my account. I built it, logged the majority of time playing it, and I allowed someone whom I knew had become complacent about the game to get destroyed playing it. Was probably the saddest lesson I have learned playing this game. If you stop enjoying the game, stop playing it. Hit vacation mode and walk away. To trust another man to keep your baby active only leads to tragedy.

let me just take a moment to set the record straight. I used to be a fleeter. Once upon a time I would spend my days farming, watching, and chasing fleets. I had the #2 fleet for a solid year and I took a great many scalps before my rivals came together and did me in as firestorm and Skull have eluded to.

That was then and this is now.

I would not describe myself as a fleeter anymore. I am a miner, with a fleet. If you are waiting for me to do anything with said fleet, you might be waiting a very long time. If you are trying to bait me, you are going to experience frustration, because i am simply not in a hurry. All that said, I have gone to great lengths to surround myself with fleeters. Assassins deserve all the credit for hitting SaNtana and I tried to make sure they received it in my acknowledgement. It was they who discovered the target was sitting and directed me to push the launch button, and it is they who are watching you.

I am just mining my mines and growing my tentacles.

I am uncertain which is the more pointed insult. That I spent a lot of money to build this account, or that I was a cheapskate and used an exploit. The truth actually exists somewhere in the middle. I could buy a -nice- car for what I've got in this account, but not a house. I don't cheat, and I don't use exploits.

If FGR spent half as much time playing the game as they spend coming up with skewed versions of reality, they might still be a thing. You run with whichever insult makes you feel better. The truth is, FGR started the packing. Muppets started the exploiting. I took lessons from what both parties were doing and then proceeded to do it better. The only folks I care to hear the DM argument from, are the ones who were not spending. They have every right to be disturbed. The rest of you can go back to vacation mode or feel free to hang out intermittently and get recycled.

This hit is dedicated to all my friends and brothers in arms in Jeb and Assassin without whom this hit would not have been possible. It's been a long very bumpy road, but we are still here and we are having a blast playing the game, and that's what matters. Stay strong guys. We are just getting started.

SaNtana, you have been Assassinated. Good luck with your rebuild.

I feel wierd admitting this, but I actually kind of liked Ice. He was the enemy no doubt, but there was something about his stand against ALL players who paid money to play the game that I could at least appreciate. I would invite him twice to come join Jeb b4 I gave you a dismissing thought Rya. We are trying to build our alliance after all, not tare it down from the inside out.

We keep coming back to this discussion and the result is always the same. Too many mining accounts and not enough fleeting accounts. Miners don't like being farmed and hunted. Most would quietly prefer that the active fleeters bombarding them with probes, threatening their moons, and bashing their planets would just go blue and leave them alone. The idea that the silent majority are even considering anything logical when they vote seems silly to me. Does it benefit a fleeter? Then no. Pretty simple logic in the voting booth which has born the same result since the dawn of time.

If you fleeters want to change the hearts and minds of these miners who are going to cast their votes to spite you, you are probably going to have to think outside the box. Bribery, strippers and blow. I dunno get creative and i am sure it will be fine and we can all get this change done...

I would actually be all for whatever changes to packs gameforge wanted to make. Wether that be equalizing the value for everyone, making changes to the pulling rule, or getting rid of them all together. I doubt gameforge is going to do any of those things though. We have to work with the tools we have, not wish upon a star for new ones.. Alliances and ACS give young players tools to compete if they have the imagination to do so. You just have to find your way into the right group. The right alliance brings a new player to its expected level of play and provides the conflict which makes the game fun.

Exploits are terrible. They ruin the game for everyone, including the ones doing the exploiting. I shouldn't have to pay all his money to compete. It's my hobby though and my friends, and there is no reason why we should lack relevance because somebody else found a better way to aquire dark matter. This is the game we have been given, play it or pick up your toys and go play elsewhere.

For me, the key to unlcking most of Ogame's issues is to be found in the aliance system. We cant change what gameforge does or is going to do. Cannot change the monitization of the game or the balance of time played vs. Money spent. The game does give us one tool which is completely ours to do with as we will though.

Alliances are the things that make ogame worth the time and effort spent. Within them we can come up with our own ways to tackle all these issues. The right alliance will take a new player who shows promise and teach them the game. So there is your mentoring. They will help that player get ahead by giving them favorable trade rates, pulling, orienting fun contests within the group that give everybody that extra thing within the game to make it fun.

Alliances can also work to try and defend the small guys from the predators, and pick those players up when they get knocked down. Big fish will always be out to eat the little ones. Thats just the nature of the game, but they should also have a duty to try and protect their own.

It's the conflict between the tribes that makes ogame what it is. If you don't join a tribe then you are a meal on wheels. Can't get an allianceaccept you? That is entirely your problem. Most Alliances are happy to accept players who go out of their way to make the right impression. If you seem like a bad bet, that's your fault. You can fix it, and find this is actually a fun game. Or you can not, and be farmed until you quit.

Want to improve the game? Find ways to enhance the alliance system. The friends and enemies we make in game are the things that bring us back to it.

I guess that's all a matter of perspective Baal. I was actually online when this hit was made. Checked my account, all good. Unloaded a dairy truck with a collapsed juice pallet on board, and then checked my account again. All bad. So way to slide in there Ice. A metric ton of spilled orange juice is only slightly less annoying than you are. Lesson learned though. You can't dodge someone in system with you forever.
