Hello Vega, I'm back
(somewhat reluctantly).I had no interest in action, and scrapped some of my fleet yesterday. Then suddenly Uberman came flying at me XD
It was 6k battlecruisers at first, but after a few minutes I think he grew wary and added another 11k battlecruisers.
Whatever fleet I had left deemed sufficient for a ninja
If I had a better fleet composition I would have fewer losses, but I don't have a better composition because of reasons....Nonetheless this was a very nice surprise. Fast rebuild Uberman, you good sport!

Oh I was there when my fleet returned, allright; I had set an alarm.... I just woke up 5 minutes too early.
My brain and eyes couldn't stay awake for another 5 minutes, it seemed. I plunged into a deep sleep and woke up a few hours later to find the carnage.Good of you to stay awake and keep watching, it paid off!
Pffff don't know if I'll rebuild AGAIN! XD

Well done though. This uni appears to be too fast for me. I fleetsave as often as I can, but sometimes it just wasn't possible, and in the blink of an eye there's an armada of battlecruisers on my doorstep XD

@Spir1t no allies of Rev were anywhere near; I deemed a probe about 20 seconds before impact to be enough.

Indeed this was a good play by Rev, and a big mistake on my part. A shame I had to drag my ally into this, sorry BOSS!
I'll provide the story:
Rev moved in near our ally's safe system pretty early, so we were aware of him. He launched his fleet at me a few times, but I always onlined him.
Then one day I probed his moon close to my safe system, saw a deut fleet, and launched on it after seeing no activity on any of Rev's moons. This was shortly after Rev insta'd his astros, and it was probably then that Rev realised I was oblivious to his hidden colony. Rev onlined me, I recalled from his deut fleet, and all was good.Later that evening I probed that same moon again to find 866 rips sitting with the deut. To me this was very logical, as I expected Rev to MD me after seeing me come at his moon. Again, no activity on Rev's visible moons; I called on my allies for help and BOSS replied. We launched swiftly, and at no point did we realise he had a hidden colony XDD
I DID check his astro levels, but in my excitement I "forgot" that the astro table shows the number of COLONIES, not the TOTAL number of planets. A crucial mistake

And that was that.Besides the fleet above, I think I also lost around 140k sc's that I sent as a timed follow up. I believe I got about 196k recs worth of debris.
Rev read me like a book, and placed the perfect trap; a fleet of only rips and lc's ensured that I wouldn't send cruisers, and so his 5Mn LF's would be all the more effective.

@vitamin_x mate, you must be referring to my cunning plan to torment @TheWeeknd and his snowflakes with the fact that it wasn't them that got my fleet after all!
Not everyone has this "ego" problem which is ever so rampant in SF5 't was just a mistake, who wouldn't launch on an easy kill! People who know better, I guess...Nah in all seriousness, indeed in my excitement I was oblivious to the fact that Astro levels indicate total COLONIES, not total PLANETS. Don't know if anyone has ever lost fleet because of anything dumber than that XD Still so noob, after a year. But boy did I have fun in that time.
I'll come back to mine for sure, taking a small break now. Might also post the hit like Kvothe did, if people are interested. That's allowed, right? A defeated attacker can post?
