Glad to see that Trump got his second dose of medicine this server!

Welcome to the first posted hit of the season!

Later last night while making some dinner I happened to check my screen and saw the red flashing triangle of doom. Looking further into it, I found that it was Trump attacking and thanks to the 1x war they were still almost 2 hours out. Seeing this and knowing that the server has x4 acs defend settings I called out on our discord and asked if anyone wanted to defend against Trump. With quite a bit of banter back and forth we decided to do the defend even though it would not be a win for us, or for Trump.

After setting up all the fleets it was going well when I saw that SayNoToWar was sending their fleets to the planet and not the moon, thankfully they were able to take time from teaching CS2 to recall and resend the larger portion of their fleet .

So after the hit went through (which I thought was amazing as I had so much activity) this was the result. I tried to collect as much of the debris as possible.

With regard to peaceful fleet speeds. A number of the seasonal server's had 8x peaceful, is this an option for the new universes?

Aside from that the suggestion that Yohdh made for the new universe specs looks very promising.

Spent some time spying this night and found Deus online with fleet sitting. A few hours later I spied again and the fleet was still sitting, and this was the aftermath.

The game is a game and it is unfortunate to see an account go down like this, but it is the game.

You call out the vmode mechanic change when in reality everyone knows that something needs to be changed regarding it, as you and others are the exact reason why the game is dead. Being invunerable 24/7 is an insane mechanic and then tie this into being able to see through other smaller multi accounts is such a flawed mechanic. It was designed to be used when people needed to be away for some time, but like always there are individuals who will find a way to ruin something good. Similar to this, I would like to draw attention that on the day that the question 'should there be a change to vmode' was posed it had to be cancelled as suddenly 20+ brand new accounts (and I mean brand new in that they had zero posts and were made that day) suddenly appeared and voted no... So obviously there are people who know that this mechanic is flawed and cannot imagine it being changed as 'their playstyle' would be ruined.

I know that people will come out of the woodworks to say that it will cause the game to die more as you will loose some fleeters, but it also has the opportunity to breathe life into the game as people will have to play seriously and their life can not be exploited by those looking for a quick and easy hit before scampering away into the invulnerable shield of blue.

I truly wish Ares a fast recovery and I look forward to the day that Zero, World and King actually play the game rather than sit V like a parasite waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike...

I do have to ask, by variables do you mean the sound of darkmatter being purchased on your account, or are you hinting at some 4d chess like scenario where you knew that this would happen before it happened? Or can we go even further and say you knew that Keid would be the next seasonal server before seasonal servers were announced?

This plan was put into action some time ago as with this server being seasonal once Asto Vidatu reached the 25 mil he decided to send all the fleet that he had on an attack from the planet to another planet to see if we could get any interested parties.

Late in the night someone did take the bait and this started the back and forth between a number of us to figure out what were going to do, but it was decided that we would do an ACS defend against the moon and blow it.

After some hours of talking about everything we noticed that Mastermind was attempting to block the entire system with his usual plan to colo and then destroy the planet.

After Mastermind had mobiled in and got himself a moon we saw the attacks against the planet had increased.

Then after even more time the attacks turned into an ACS.

At this piont we were still very commited to this idea and were all ready to go ahead and do it.

Renkin then decided to split his fleet into two smaller fleets and have them connect one after the other and at this point we were still commited and wanting to go out with a bang.

After even more time passed Mastermind added some battlecruisers after attempting to attack Michael with his 1.2 mil reapers.

Even though we were surely going to get destroyed we went ahead and went out with a freaking amazing bang!

Funny and truly saddening to see that Diesel's support ticket was censored, almost like someone knows that their choice broke a number of rules and does not want any incriminating evidence being released and the truth being revealed.

With the image being censored it brings into question the validity of the hit once again. It also brings the question to mind of what will happen when Zero and King are caught, as I would assume the battle would be massive and no CR would be generated. Therefore, I would then assume that the response of 'no CR, no combat' would come into play and all players would keep their fleets.

It would be great to have no favouritism towards players involved when hits like this were to happen, but we all know that is impossible.

Sadly, this thread isn't getting more attention from the community as a whole, with everything from the way it went down to the TD and profits involved...just goes to show how far gone the game is as it's circling the drain. 10, maybe even 5 years ago, this thread would have 100s of comments already and be 10s of pages long.

I think some of you are still confused about the order of events. As I understand it from reading the OP, the gist of it is:

Dominatrix's moon got MD'd.

Dominatrix got caught doing a dirty FS (WTF?) in an unsecured/unlocked system (lol...WTF x2).

Dominatrix was given a new, smaller moon.

Tizoc launches RIPs on ACS-D on Dominatrix's new, smaller moon in anticipation that the attackers will take out Dominatrix's fleet.

*WTF moment...if someone tells me they f'd up and sent a dirty FS from an unlocked/unsecured system and got MD'd and the only other 2 fleets (Diesel and ARES) capable of ACS-D me are locked in vmode...I'd have said, you're on your own and you just learned a valuable lesson about dirty FSing in an unsecure/unlocked system in a f'n 5x fleet uni.

Tizoc (or whoever) presumably also launched a forced MD on Dominatrix's new small moon, timed so that they MD's Dominatrix's new small moon andTizoc's ACS-D will drop down to the planet to defend against the incoming attacking fleets and he'll be the hero.

However, PLOT TWIST...the attackers MD'd the new, smaller moon first (5x fleet speed FTW) to see what's what on lanx.

*Another WTF moment...seriously, if someone's going to invest 4.6mn RIPs on an ACS-D then people better be setting alarms to wake up and check for MDs every 40 minutes or so to make sure the moon isn't popped and your 4.6mn RIPs aren't left hanging in the breeze. Not to mention the way the RIPs were sent...but I digress.

They see Tizoc's RIPs inbound to the planet on lanx. and it's smiles all around.

But, the Game breaks because Game Forge. And the fleet(s) the attackers sent to cover the MD gets stuck.

Dominatrix dirty FS fleet escapes because everyone is stuck and they won't get back in time to launch on her...talk about lucky.

But they capture Tizoc recall time for the RIPs he had sent on ACS-D...from an unsecure/locked system (seriously? WTF!?!).

The attackers then mobile into aforementioned unsecure/locked system (again, seriously? WTF!?!) and MD Tizoc and at that point it's an "Easy peasy lemon squeezy" lanx lock.

And yeah, it's a 5x uni so the difference in time between an in-system MD and a cross system MD is probably 20 to 30 minutes here but still...time is everything in this game.

If I got any of that wrong then I apologize, but that's how I understand things went down...

Probes on ACS missions no longer count for profit sharing. Unless my information is incorrect and the response that I saw circulating some months ago from a GO is wrong.

Thank you very much for the information.

I am not having issues on my main account, I have a secondary account that was given to me for life forms testing purposes and it is not letting me log into that account.

Same goes with 4 different friends from other universes who logged into Alpha. They are unable to log in and have not been able to since this all started happening.

I am certain that I have not attacked an active player only inactive as it does not show my account being banned or anything.
