    Congratz on the news, a merge is certainly welcomed.


    I'm a bit concerned however with the options made regarding settings and player unnability to choose. While I understand an operation like this would always be hard and having people upset, as you can't please everybody, I think the players should have the option to choose the target universe most suitable for their playstyle. I remember it happened in past merges, we would have a dropdown menu with 2 or 3 universes to choose from and confirm.


    For me, personally, doesn't make much sense that I go to a universe with less economy (for months you have been receiving requests to increase it, that should be a clear sign of what people want) and with totaly different bashing / pushing rules. For me, in Spica, the most suitable target according to the specs would be Vega, not Uriel, while probably some players forced to go to Vega, would prefer Uriel rules and settings.


    If there is no chance for us to choose our targets, I would like to ask if it's "set in stone" that Uriel will keep the bashing / pushing rules exceptions after the merge. I play in Spica because those rules are in place, and don't think it's fair that suddenly our playstyles have to change in ways we don't really choose.

  • How much abused can a higher account be in favor of a lower one?

    But just to be 100% sure, since this is not exactly sending resources, can I sacrifice my account to a lower ranked friend and tell him to recycle my fleet at coordinates X and timestamp Y, rinse and repeat so he can grow? Is this particular organized hits under the pulling tag?


    One doesn't want to get banned right hehe...

    Hey there!


    Other day on a really nice chat with a Game Operator, it came to my knowledge that an account can be abused no matter what as long as it's higher ranked in favour of a lower one.


    Since i'm a newbie in OGame and just randomly clicking here and there, wandering by the universe, can you confirm if this is true under the game rules? Can players do match fixing, organized hits, "hey buddy I'll come out of vmode so you can recycle me asap" and yadda yadda between themselves as long as the benefited one is, at the time, lower ranked?


    I find it pretty cool, because you read so many broken records here on the boards complaining about some individuals associated with an East Asia country, and when you check what those players do themselves, the levels of cheating errr loophole exploitation would embarass Saul Goodman skills.

    Is there a way to remove my previous post? I'll take my vote back. If some are called cheaters others have to be called cheaters and hypocrites. Couldn't care less about trade rates anymore, won't solve a thing. Spica is a universe beyond repair, better let it go wild and officially allow everyone to do whatever the f... they want.

    I can agree with 2.5/1.5/1, not the other option.


    Still this only makes sense if there is no other option to prevent certain "playstyles", which sadly is far from being just the two players everyone is mentioning. Far from it. With enforced rules and strict moderation this Uni would be very different, again, not only the top 2.
