Please give us away to disable/filter notifications we received from shared reports from alliance members (specifically expo reports).
I am in an alliance currently that has several players who are non stop sharing expo reports, which is really useless information, because expo results are capped by your server score + LF techs, and the results are never going to vary all that wildly. I've constantly got alliance members spamming me with reports about how they found 20 million metal or 600 Light Fighters, I feel as though a 5 year old is always trying to share their bad artwork with me or something. I've tried to diplomatically address this with my alliance but the flow of spam reports just keep flowing.
Please save me from this nonsense and give the option to filter out any and all notifications. -
Dear Gameforge,
The new mobile app for O-Game is terrible.Did you use an A.I. to design it?
A.I. isn't good at anything yet, you should hire human designers who have a clue.
Good idea not including a poop emoji for the forums though, I would have spammed the hell out of that had you included one.
Anyone know of any good browser/app games to recommend? Just looking for something that is low time investment, that isn't such janky garbage. Just looking for something simple to play while I wait for a bus, or on a lunch break. -

The way combat works is incredibly stupid and illogical. I managed to kill 0 deathstars? Not even 1? Because the game just combines their HP pools for no god damn reason. This is so stupid, no unit should be functionally invincible in any game. The person who attacked me risked literally nothing at all by attacking me, despite the thousands of turrets I had, they could not kill even a single deathstar even though I had more than enough firepower to kill a single deathstar.
I thought this was incredibly stupid years ago last time I played this game, I guess I just thought with all the new lifeform additions, some grown up in the room would have looked at the combat and said "Golly, this makes 0 sense and worse than that, makes for boring combat that isn't fun."
This game deserves to die like my turrets. -
Great, thanks for the responses folks!

I started playing again recently, and there have been a lot of changes since last time (lifeforms are new to me). Last I played it seemed to be the general opinion that ion cannons weren't worth it (for turtles or just general defence). I wanted to know if that's still the case (or if it ever was I guess).
Thanks in advance for any advice! -
Okay, thank you for the reply. A few years back I think this was a feature of a universe I played on, and I didn't realize it at first, and I went all in as a Turtle only to learn the first time I got hit big, that I was actually a very profitable target as many of my defences got turned to a debris field and then gobbled up.
-
On Lacerta, when you destroy turret defenses, are debris fields created? And if yes, which universe don't have this feature.

Hi, so I tried to post this in the Suggestions forum but every time I click on it the forum automatically logs me out of my account (except that it doesn't on any other forum for OGame, I can click back to leave the Suggestions page and then magically I'm logged in again).
So, here's my issue:
I just spent about two weeks playing on the Fenrir universe/server. Today I learned that server is a "DiDF" server, defense to debris fields (I figured it out when I asked another player why they were raiding a planet of mine that had 0 resources on it at the time). My goal was to run a miner build until the late game and then turtle down, finding out the server was DiDF was a disappointment cause I don't really want to play with those conditions. I told my alliance mates, and they too had no clue it was DiDF or even what that was.
It's no surprise we didn't know. Veteran players might know every inch of this game, but for new players, there is precious little information given when you create a planet on a universe for the first time. There's a little icon that will say if it's Balanced or Aggressive, but no information present as to what that might mean in the context of the game. I still have no clue which metrics the designers consider the qualifier for what makes a server balanced or aggressive. And certainly, unless you dig through the forums, there's no part of the sign up process that will tell you if a server is DiDF or x7 economy or whatever special attributes it has.
My suggestion: Spend 5 minutes adding information to the main page/new player setup process. Take the info about universes that's on the forums and add it in a concise way with explanations for new players. It honestly doesn't have to be in major detail, but there's absolutely nothing there now and it's very unhelpful.
Still trying to decide if I wanna bother signing up to a new universe or just move on and forget about OGame, honestly pretty pissed that I put two weeks into a server I didn't actually want to play on because of poor communication skills on the part of whoever made the new player process.
