I like the idea but why do you think GF would implament this? This is working against all the whales and the money they spend. Do you think they are spending money so you can have a better and fair game? Don't kid yourself, the reason whales pack is so they become OP so they can stomp everyone if they wish so beside few other whales on the top. If any whale tells you otherwise he is lying. Why would they spend money on this game if the benefits they get won't give them those benefits since everyone below them is automatically becoming stronger as they grow which diminishes their "investement".
Expo scaling would be great for all. Not sure about mines tho
Expo does scale already with #1 but it is capped early on. If im not wrong as soon as #1 gets 100mil points you get max find already right? So you would suggest uncapped scaling? This would bring expo results to OP heights if done wrong. But i like the idea of getting a "new cap" if #1 has 1bil+, 100bil+, 200bil+ etc...
You make a good point and i would counter it to it would not matter for a whale.
Whale gets instant results while the rest get long term results. It would not benefit the whale if people leave the uni they have invested so much money in. This will also hurt Ogame overal ofcourse.
I think current cap is at 100mill, it needs to be raised so smaller players get more benefits. This should be ranked based so top 20 players receive little benefit from this.

With increased production on mines, increased finds or more smaller fleeters the top 20 indirectly gets to benefit from this aswell since there is a higher influx of resources on the lower end of the uni resulting in more targets. The whale gets to benefit from this aswell. Just as with everything.
Its class specific.
The bonus depends on your class you have selected. once you choose another class another bonus takes effect and you lose the one from the previous class.

I was looking at the rank 10-20 players in my uni and that lower ranked players are to far behind and perhaps that will impact their will to continue playing on.
I would like to give the following idea.
Based on the points of the rank 1 player other players get a bonus to their playstyle.
In my uni we have a guy wih 300bn points which is insane to this day.
There is no way to catch up to him ofcourse but the lower ranked players will have a better time building their accounts when they have acces to more resources.
I would like to propose a catch-up mechanic where is that for lets say every 10bn points of rank 1 the below rank 20 players will get a 10% boost to their race playstyle. So for Collector their mining production is boosted by 10% and for disco the expedition results are boosted by 10%.
With the rank 1 being 300bn points the bonus to these players would be 300% more income.
The general class however is more difficult to have bonusses for. Perhaps we can boost the way a LF has a chance to kill a Deathstar. Making DMing lower ranked players more risky when that player has more LF's in his fleet.
increased combat research, for 300% this would be 6 ranks and more speed with his fleet.
Rank 20 and up will have a reduced % based and top 10 has no bonus anymore.
This way the rank 10 will get no benefit out of this change and all lower ranked players do get a huge boost to their playstyle making it more fun to do things on their accounts and easier to build up.

The 1x war speed is total bullshit made up by Mortis trying to annoy any fleeter out there with his lunatic ideas. This should not even be considered a option.
2x is the war speed thats good enough, any faster or slower will change the game for any type of player.
I just want deut in de debri field, that is the main thing i want as a fleeter. In return we lower the debri field size to 60%. Although 80% is fine with me aswell but if we have to give up something for the deut in the debri it should go to 60%.
10x eco for any miner/expo account out there for extra income would be fantastic aswell.
Deut consumption to 50% is nice to have but not one of my main worries
If i see one more 1x warspeed demand i will suggest we put Defence into debri.
This uni goes into Vmode.
For 1x war speed there is uni 1.

Just a small thing..
It seems that some feel this topic served no real purpose, because none of the requests led to concrete changes. But not every discussion is meant to produce an immediate decision or validation.
This thread was never introduced as a place where every suggestion would be accepted or acted upon. Its purpose was twofold: first, to answer questions about how the merger works (especially those not covered by the FAQ), and second, to provide space for feedback and reactions. From that perspective, it has served its function.
All comments were read carefully. Even if some decisions are not within our direct sphere of action, your feedback feeds into our thinking and can be used to support our internal discussions. After that, it is up to the company to do what it can/wants to do.
A discussion doesn't lose its value just because it doesn't lead to visible change right away. Being able to express yourselves, ask questions, and share concerns is important, for you as a community, but also for us.
This is also done in other communities, where they sometimes express the same frustrations as you, and it allows us as administrators to discuss and move things forward.
That said, I do understand the frustration, and I'm genuinely sorry we don"t have a concrete solution to offer.
There have been several merges before all with its own issues. I agree that you can't make everyone happy which is just impossible but you can take the time to do better next time. I see any of the reactions of the mods or other GF related employee on this matter as wielding the carrot infront of the donkey (us, the players) maybe at the next turn on the road we get a bite. That is how these comments feel to the userbase.
The suggestion to keep idea's coming in for christmas timeframe feels like busy work and any and all get trown into the trashbin since GF and the decision makers dont care to serve their community at all. Its all about money min-maxing for the company.
As a vega player i am happy a merge is happening. Hopefully we can change server settings for Deut in debri aswell when the merge has happend. there is a lot of players that want it. I can see many people feel disappointed in the choices offered, i would probably be disappointed aswell if i had to move to servers that had unfaverable settings or players 100x your size.
People making comments about all their moons being blown up, in theory yes, this is very possible, even in the same night. In practice this takes a lot of planning and coordination and i have only seen it happen once and that was on me in this server and its been over 2 years ago. Its very demanding and not so easly done. If you fleetsave propperly you should have little to fear from anyone.
The game has felt very stale the last few months and i am happy anything is happening right now.
Any new player will adapt to their new situation as they did previously.
I do feel perhaps its better to make all unis exodus unis and create 4 or 5 complete new servers with settings people want the most. This way people who are stuck in target unies get to choose aswell
i have flown on you several times sleepy in the last few months and you always moved your fleet away shortly before impact.
This time you got hit because you hold that very same tactic. Something that disturbs you from being able to FS, being a maintaince window, Ogame lagging or internet issue's or whatever. When you play with fire at somepoint you will get burned.
i was not the only one that flew on you, i heard the same thing from Konoha, he however never manage to get your fleet either.

While I’m not fully aware of or invested in what’s happened in the past, my main goal is to enjoy the game with like-minded players.
Seeing hits like this is truly disheartening. This will be my only post regarding the hits on DOOM. For those who know me, you know I’ve always played fairly, and from my perspective, this type of playstyle and its outcome don’t sit well with me.

Accounts exchanging hands "freely..." spies, backstabbing and the list goes on and on. These are things from all ages. When people play against each other they will seek ways to outplay the others. i guess this is only natural to humans. Screenshots are beginning to surface showing how disrespectfull doom talks about other players in their discord
From some of the hate i have seen from other players in other unies i am guessing Doom also been busy there, and pretty sure you have your role in it aswell.

In conversations with Ned and our alliance he let it slip or we got the info somehow END was supplying Ned with intel, Ned supplied us with information when it suited him to his benefits.

It's been pretty boring the last few days. I tried my luck several times on several players but very little luck in hitting anything.
I was playing a different game and alt - Tab to ogame to check if no attack's we're inbound or anything. i received a message from a smaller player i have been helping since he came back to the game.
He has requested aid from me and ever since i've been explaining and helping out where i can.
He send me a message he had a attack inbound, 5mill bc's what time of impact.
I went to discord and he send me the needed information again. i was far away but END was launching from far away aswell, infact, 1 system besides me. My bc's are faster than his so i actually had the upperhand in speed.
I messed up, somehow i got the timing wrong and my fleet landed 40 second before impact... i didn't have deut enough on the moon to resend so i just went with it and hoped he didn't do a safety probe. Which he didn't.
Zimbido had Expo fleets coming back aswell that would have given the moon activity again but that didn't deterre END from continue on flying.
Zimbido had to create more recs to gather the remaining debri field, i only had deut left to send 1.25mill recs.
Thanks to Zimbido quick message this hit was possible
