    The 1% is spending money and ruining the game for the other 99%. They have been given legal ways to cheat in this game.

    On the other hand would it be interesting or fun if for example the metal mine achievement maxed out at level 40, everyone globally would have it unlocked pretty much.

    57 goes into the trilions of resources. only 1% has acces to that.

    something actually usefull ingame, a building upgrade for free, more items to use etc etc, anything actually usefull at all?


    if there is nothing worth "getting" from these achievements in that regard i am totally not interested in playing this achievement game.

    Someone made some screenshots and one of the achievements is to reach deuterium synthesizer 57. which is only achievable when spending a shitload of money on DM to buy metal packages.

    This looks to be just another way to try and milk the player base.


    deut synth 57 cost 1.6tr metal and 544bn crystal.

    Going from lvl 50 to 57 is a total investment of 4.7tr metal and 1.570tr crystal.


    Who's this new feature for? looks to be just another way to beg for money.

    I will give a positive update for once, i did not expect Ogame to have a active development team doing some stuff behind closed doors. I think its a good change even though it's on the low end of things we really need.

    I look forward to what this update brings.


    I would like to know what these seasons are and how they are envisoned.

    I would like to give an idea that just popped into my head that players can "opt in" for a seasonal server.

    Their account gets transfered to this seasonal server, they have their season and at the end gets merged back to their old uni.


    This way, players from all servers can opt in to play against each other for a limited time.

    Do want to make it fair that no metal packages can be used during this season and players of equal size play against each other.


    playing against another player that is x10 your size is bullshit ofcourse and you have no chance to do anything against such a player.

    I agree with you that the whole system is pure bullshit and is developed to annoy anyone using it. and using this system is mandatory if you want to play the game, you miss out on so much for every spec you play.


    I would not mind paying a small DM price to pick the research i want. a cooldown period of 1 week would be a good time so people can't flip flop their whole playstyle every few hours.

    The cooldown could be extended even to 2 weeks or a month but that would be to punishing if someone we're to make a mistake in choosing the research and later changing his mind.

    I agree that this artefact thing is highly annoying and the more planets you have the more time it takes to convert your playstyle. I think it hurts the game in a way that when people get crashed for example, changing to mining is such a bullshit long time that you have to find artefacts to change these research options.


    I also want to point out a highlight however, and that is that whales can't change their playstyle on the fly either. they will have to go through the RNG hell.


    Anything that makes whales have less fun in this game is a good thing in my book.

    Artefacts is one of the big annoying thing in this game which makes switching playstyle a real chore to go through. this means weeks and months of grinding for enough artefacts to convert your playstyle.

    Why?


    Here another reason for someone to trow the towel in the ring and leave the game.

    This serves no purpose other than to annoy people and make a few more bucks out of them hoping they will DM spam that system with RNG.


    Remove artefacts all together and let people choose their playstyle freely.

    One can change class with 1 button why not playstyle?

    Noticed this thread yesterday and been thinking on how to reply.


    There is no simple sollution to this question. a Simple reward system is not the answer.

    If GF wants to change the blue shielded players they need to be prepared to change some things but also listen to the players in a certain degree.


    Some respect to the players and tool developers goes a long way.

    Currently we are just some statistic on a spreadsheet some GF Suite gets hard on.


    This game is made by GF but runs by its players and community.

    This game never needed any reward system to function.

    GF made this problem themselfs. they made cheating legal. Fuck around and find out. Actions have consequences.

    I was doing my probe rounds. noticed a planet with 2bn resources on it name i did not recognizes

    Thought i'd check the others and than found a planet with 180BN deut on it.


    Launched on it but got a message soon after. He was online and it was a long flight for me.

    I send, he warned me not to attack because he would ninja my fleet.


    After 30 minutes i probed again, thought why not just go for it and see what will happen?

    I send in more BC's and did not expect him to try the ninja out.

    He started spending the deut like grazy into making 1.6mill BC's. and recs.


    The conversation i had was most amusing. going from threats to bluffs to warnings to him spending DM like grazy to make BC's. He is not yet familiar with lifeforms and what a huge difference that makes.




    I am happy with the results but its kind of bullshit the game has come to this, in matter of 30 minutes creating 1.6mill Bc's

    Its not like it will ever change, it will only get worse from here on out but still, i wanted to have said just that.
