    If kewlness and piink really came up with this plan then shame on both of them. Anybody who came up with or approved this plan clearly does not understand how and why people play this game. Duck guy came up with a better plan about 10 minutes after the merge was announced ffs


    Leaving the moderators out here for us wolfs to attack is even more shameful. You two should at least answer for your mistakes, and this indeed is a giant mistake

    so far its unproven that the moderators are responsible for this Merge, for now its just a rumor spread by 1 person with no evidence so far.

    From what i've read so far, this merge is a disaster waiting to happen, people deleting their accounts, people saying they will go into Vmode for a long time etc etc.

    Will this happen? Sure, are people bluffing? Sure.


    GF has backed theirselfs into a corner and deserve all the critisime that is coming their way.

    One could only hope some heads are going to roll at GF HQ for this fuck-up of a merge.


    How hard is it to make a goddamn poll and listen to the community?

    I totally back the players who lose their game due to this dumb ass shit developer who doesn't even read their own forums.


    I am only affected by these merges in a positive way, i get to keep my own server settings as i am in a target uni waiting for the newcomers.

    We could use some new players in Bellatrix to stirr up some trouble.

    As the Rank 1 player in Bellatrix i can really understand @sujirojovee point here.

    There are only bad options for these players to choose from.



    If the mods can promise that after the merger to put up a vote to change server specs for these people that would be a fair way to solve this problem i'd guess


    I also think Pasiphae would be a way better target uni for 1x speed unies that are being merged but the decision has been made.

    So I just went through the merge at .US server and it was a little different then last time. Now there is no forced VM, you get a checklist of things to complete before you can select a target uni such as no active fleets, no active market sales ect. Seems all good, but the problems started early. The major problem was a lot of players only had one uni as a target that was a 6x uni (4 targets were announced) so many players had to wait and open a ticket and provide a screenshot proving they couldn't choose a target and then the ticket will get escalated and the COMA can do a manual merge. Second problem is that with a manual merge you don't get any relos and lose all active officers or any "perks". I was lucky and opened a ticket right away and was promptly merged but many were stuck for a days waiting to get manually merged. All in all yes better then the cluster fuck that was 2018 mergers but still very buggy and I can imagine not all the players got sent where there wanted. Another fail for GF


    Edit: the 4 target unis were 1x,2x,3x, and 6x fleet speeds, all 7x eco so that was pleasant

    i would like to add to this idea that its not just a matter of getting DM and GF getting less DM and people no longer buying DM anymore.

    The numbers i pointed out here are not high enough to do any real harm to their finance and might get people to invest more time / effort / money into the game itself


    - Collectors can get DM from mining

    - General gets DM from Debri fields

    - Discoverer get DM from expo's


    Collector needs to put a lot of time / ressies into mines to get a stable DM income out of it and at most its like 3k DM per day.

    Discoverer can already make much more from finding DM on expo's.

    General class gains DM from debri fields, the bigger the debri fields the more DM finds. This could be capped at a certain number but why punish a player who puts time and effort into hitting a big player.

    I think that if someone crashes lets say a 5BN fleet or whatever number it should hold a decent amount of DM. Per 1BN 10k DM for example. ( i do feel like this number is to low)


    With players able to safe up DM or have somekind of income they can also plan ahead and safe up for a relocation, boosters and what not.


    i dont think this will refrain people from not buying DM, these numbers are not high enough for the prices GF asks for items/features but do give us players a 4th resource to play with.

    i do think the idea is nice although i see some issue, you can no longer time someone back from a hit.

    That needs to stay in the game or you might never take a bigger player down who makes a mistake.


    My extended thought to this idea:


    15 min to fly to slot 17 > wormhole to another system > fly from slot 17 to target, 14 minutes?, hit, 14 min to fly back to slot 17 but before your fleet reaches slot 17 it can't find a active wormhole, its being jammed by another player who can now delay your fleet to x time (1 hour?) much like a delayed expo fleet, your no longer in control of the fleet and do the waiting game or get your buddies to help out on your mistake.


    these are just some random times to make this example.

    its sad to see people spend so much money on something like buying your way to rank 1. Looks like the top 5 did the same thing but you can see the finance of each player here.

    After reading a forum comment in some post a idea jumped into my head.

    What about a passive Dark Matter income ?


    I think this would be a nice bonus for collector class only.

    The idea is this, for every mine lvl you get a passive DM income of lets say 0.05 / 0.08 per mine level per hour.


    Lets say you got a planet with lvl 40 metal, 35 crystal and 40 deut.

    Metal mine 40 at 0.05 will have 2DM per hour

    Crystal mine 35 at 0.05 will have 1.75DM per hour

    Deut mine 40 at 0.05 will have 2DM per hour


    In total for this planet will earn 5.75DM per hour.


    Do this for all planets, lets say you got 15 planets with all the same mining levels for easy explanation:

    15x5.75=86,25DM per hour or 2070DM per day.


    Increasing mining levels or more planets will increase this passive income.

    You could say, discoverers can find DM on Expo's, Collectors can find DM in mining.


    Dark Matter is just another resource in this game but premium, you can find small amounts or buy your way. Why not give people a small push to keep building up their accounts.

    We could also extend this to all classes where's collectors have dubble the DM income of the other classes.

    This will give people a 4th resource to play with and collect although slowly.


    DM income is passive just like mines and will also continue to be collected when inactive.





    To extend this idea to the General class, we could come up with a DM find on battles debri fields. The bigger the debri field the bigger the DM find.

    100mill debri is lets say 5000DM

    i would advise against moving to slot 15.

    Slot 1-3 and or 6-10 might be more with the increase of crystal in slot 1-3 and metal in slot 6-10.


    As a miner you need the metal/crystal more than deut. You can still make a good chunk of deut in slots 6-10

    Also colonizing slot 1-3 or 13-15 will result in a small planet with fewer building slots.
