Witnessing the merge and "nap" first hand, I can say for certain, the tune from Darth changed once the merges were announced with all targets being as bad as each other, and over what? 7/8 miners more in a 30+ alliance merging into a target non acs uni? Sure 
Would you really expect us to betray our allies like that? Maybe Doom has different standards.
But i suspect it was the plan all along.

I could be wrong but I'm sure i read somewhere Darth wanted to kick players in his ally to a wing of some sort, so if the oppertunity come about he could crash them also to benifit himself... Doom alliance from what I've seen in a mess.

Since there is so much talk about some people that is not mentioned by name, I will be the first to reveal that a lot of this is about me or that I have at least been a part of.
I agreed with Darth and Frost before merge that we could have a Nap. Darth obviously said no, when the terms suddenly changed from 8-10 players to 20+. This alone made some members of Sub_zero very mad and threats about war was on the table.
Even Ella got involved right after merge - she clearly said that she would always help against doom, but no one in winter could feel safe if their fleet was sitting - so for @ComradeT - stop bs'ing about that doom and Ella situation, mirana got hit aswell today.
As of now, I am kicked from Sub_zero, due to talking to a friend months ago, telling how we actually got things done in Aries (hello comrade)
It's a sad ending for Sub_zero, but with the attitude I have seen towards enemies and even towards me the past week was unacceptable in many ways.
Yes darth has made it evident what you guys said about us, which is interesting because you never voiced any concerns which he mentioned. You know, about how frost is controlling? and doesnt do anything himself etc? ... Which honestly is a stab in the back after all of us supported you through your rl troubles (dont worry i wont mention anything like you do) .
Honestly i would have considered the two of you as actual mates, but better this happens now than later.
As for the alliance, we will make another, the group of friends still remain, with no room for snakes in the grass, which is more important than any game.

its our own desicion play after merge or not play. We just switched to plan B, and will not buy any DM. If majority players do same as us , maybe GF next time ask first players about options of merge. Trying to insult us doesnt make yu any better in any eyes. According to them, you were unskilled, controlling, and sat on your hands while they did all the hard work in Aries. You watched from the sidelines and they carried the weight.
Also, let’s be clear: we never asked them to choose between you and us. You did.
