Ogame is not a game that would captivate you for its fancy graphics. For most people unaware of what ogane is, its just some icons with letters and numbers. It requires a lot of dedication and effort and planning and i believe this is the reason why number of players is small. Most players start at a new server and they get crashed because they are sloppy/ don't play properly and quit waiting for a new server to start there fresh hoping they will reach the top miraculously without hard work and effort. Even if unis didn't spawn that often player base would be small (perhaps smaller) and don't forget its all about money. In every start there are a few dozens big spenders (some of who fall behind and decide to go to next opening to spend big again) and many more smaller spenders. GF would fire its own feet

Not a lot of story from either part being said here.

Attackers i guess you did what you could to get that fleet. Most probably you moved in system while vuckobih was off and the window he was off was not that big for the MDs to be done a bit later, but this part of your plan was successful and MDs went through. But he was on a "long" fs and logged in with plenty of time ahead to know of your next moves. You decided to go for it. Its hard to press the recall button but when you have doubts you must. You took your loss well. Great sportsmanship. GLOTR

Defenders you seem to have organised that hit long before it was even planned from the attackers side. That "long"and dirty fs and all the moves you did seem you were way ahead of your enemies. 2 OPOT fleets down. Great execution. Enjoy your profits.

I was thinking the same about marketplace. Somehow it should be brought back but not in a way that you could cheat...

It would be nice for everyone to have crawlers as now only miners can, even though pathfinders and reapers can be found by any class through expos

Resource trading is not a problem but could also be part of the marketplace at fix rates 2,5:1,5:1 which is between 3:2:1 and 2:1:1 so you could not try and cheat through triangles from marketplace. A fee should be applied too which will be paid by the buyer and if the transaction is cancelled a cancellation fee should also apply for seller.

For fleet you could sell ships for their value with the fixed rate mentioned above and sell them for 105% of their value (flat price) but actually getting 70% of their price with the exception of rips recyclers and crawlers where seller gets 105% while buyers pays 110%. Especially for fleet transactions i would love to see the option to be paid in a mixture of resources instead of one resource only.

Items could also be exchanged strictly with items of the same tier. 3 item exchanges per week. Reservation could be possible. Only 1 reservation allowed per week no matter if is received or offered. Also only one item exchange is possible between two accounts per week no matter if it reserved or not.

It doesn't even make sense. I mean only the proposed ship is stealth so rest of ships who don't have stealth ability should be caught by any radar.

In speed unis, with what you propose, you should be refreshing every couple minutes if not sooner and it might not be enough to prevent such an attack.

This will only benefit big spenders as always who buy metal packs and use DM to progress at a supernatural pace so they can have high espionage and lanx levels. Also there is no way to time back those fleets unless you can solo them (and you could ninja them already). There is not enough time to organise a group of people to try and time back so you remove a lot of the games fun, skills and strategy just to favour big spenders.

After the new update messages were ruined. Especially espionage reports. Now you have to press three clicks to open a report.

So if you have all officers activated you get a fifth bonus by the commander as the other 4 come from the other 4 officers and that benefit is to have the espionage reports message extended and to the appearance they had before the update.

According to the commanders description "Because of the simplified command structure, instructions can be handled faster. ". So it makes perfect sense of it to be a bonus feature of that commander as.

Thoughts?

Just what the game needed. A change in messages... Especially that part with espionage reports came straight from a GENIUS. Before you could get all the information needed with a blink now you have to open the report. Gameforge nobody cares about the number of the ships or number of defenses. It doesn't say anything at all. 100 ships doesn't mean anything. If these are Rips their value is 1 Billion. 100 probs have a value of 100k. Their value was what was needed.

Best part of this update is espionage reports. Whoever thought of this is a GENIUS

Unlike other games that are more or less what you propose ogame is the only one that i have played and you can have unlimited fleet without upkeep cost when the fleet is idling. The only upkeep cost is deuterium for fleetsave which varies according to your fs pattern.

So with your idea a player can have 5,10,15 "friends" building fleet which he will keep smashing daily 6 times each. Do whatever math you want at the above. We had the pay to win players, now we will have whales with "friends". Game is dieing and your idea just killed it.

Its a WAR game. If you want a game that you want to be happy why don't you try farmville?

I don't think this has to do with the update. I have this problem for more than a week now...
