There are people working on it but it is a mess
One of us inadvertivly reproduced it when he was attacked, we inform the GA weeks ago. Hence we are so adament about this.

sorry but no, I built every single ship over the course for many weeks and upping my nanites to level 10. So to sit there and say I didn't build my fleet is just a bunch of crap.
Bro, you have only been outside of vmode for 19 days this year, majority of that time you and confed were racking up loads of points in military destroyed as well as having DF outside of your own planets.
So it's not been over many weeks has it, it isn't even 3 weeks.
Come on, this game is meant to be about intergity, hence why you said to defender GLOTR

No wonder they're get away with it when the uni doesn't even have a GO though.
Killed the game off for a lot of people, which is a shame.
I would suggest it's even killed the game for the attacker here, as where is the fun in the hunt? The adrenaline rush? Does brute force still provide that?

Honestly, what are You talking about
What I mean is people on here moaning about someone else's gains, they want those gains themselves. Coming on the board, making wild accusations because someone else's gains.
Those same people are happy to make gains through other exploits (say disco pirates) or whatever other means but when someone uses a means they don't like then it suddenly becomes unfair and they start preaching about equal opportunities and balance.
This is a war game & as the saying goes.. "All is fair in.."
Furthermore, if I make 10,000 EUR/USD/GBP a day and I spend 100 a week on supporting this game, paying the developers who have themselves and possibly families to support is that a bad thing? Would people treat me the same way IRL because I'm successful?
If I go to a museum and it's free to get in should I not donate because I got in for free?
Maybe the game is free to play to be inclusive but it still needs to make money to survive. It needs capitalism to survive so this socialist mindset of don't buy anything, don't pay the developers doesn't make sense.
I don't care if you spend nothing, your whole salary or somewhere in between, that's freedom, that's an individuals choice.

Currently we have 3x fleet speed / 6x Economy / 12x Researchspeed / 70% DF / 9 Galaxies / +30 fields, 60% deuterium consumption
I think we should at least make it 8 x eco / 14 x research / +31 fields
Maybe also 80% DF / 7 Galaxies / 50% duet consumption.
Am open to slowing the fleet speed down.

This could probably go in the suggestions forum.
I would tweak it done (1/2/3/4 respective). The reason is to have a chance of GF taking this change you need to balance the benefit of the increase with the decrease in DM they will be receiving. Ideas that screw with the DM cow to much won't see the light of day. And spending DM on research is one of the most consistent DM sources for GF because research takes to long to practically let run it's own.
Actually it could lead to a rise in DM sales as there is now more use to buy newtons.
Halving and completing research is capped at a max of 108,000 DM (Even less as disco) once research takes over a certain amount of time it's always cheaper to half/complete.
So the 216,000 DM it would cost me to complete my 42 weeks of Astro would only get me 8 platinum newtons in it's current 1d time saving form.

Everyone, imagine this for a second and then you'll most likely have to concede defeat.
A massive thread is opened after mergers are announced to be coming (72 hours later) everyone is opposed to the mergers - everyone in the thread is clearly a devoted player as they have signed up to the forum.
Yet gameforge will not reverse the decision, they will not do what the community want, they don't even have to think the merger situation through.
Why?
Because they need to fleece us afterwards when some choose to buy the new merge item (Probably 500k DM) - oh now all your alliance are going to another server, what do you do? Also buy that merge item.
They add a 1x uni in the mix for some people to sweeten us up abit but what does that do...
Well I have over 200kk points, I will most likely go to the 1x uni where number one currently has 18kk points. Why? It's the best option out of a terrible three. Ok for me but a nightmare for that uni.
However, once that merge item comes out maybe I'll pay a ridiculous amount to go back to a 2x uni, maybe the other players in the uni go to a new 1x uni to be more competitive.
All that matters with this merger is the possibility of making money later on with the merger item, that item is the reason we still have bugs like being logged out all the time, how many patch notes have you seen regarding fixing log out? I've certainly seen a few regarding this merger item.

Surely instead of merging uni's then having polls to change settings it would just make more sense to have a poll for target uni choices.
GF could even do some polls to figure out 3 target uni's settings and put everyone in an exodus

While these groups were evaluated considering the servers activity and the ranks of the accounts in the groups, it will always be super hard to do both at the same time: set up merges of servers with equal stats and equal player ranks.
Believe it or not we are happy to have feedback, always, at all times no matter how nasty it can get.
With that being said, we do read the feedback, especially when it comes to such merge moves and we are making a change in group 2 to keep a server on speed x1 in there.
For this reason we are turning Dorado 156 into a target server of the group so people who want to stay in a fully miner server can do so.
Adding the change to the news section.
Also, I'd like to add in here that it might be that if all of you try to merge on Monday at 10:00 AM together, targets might not load for all at the same time. Be patience, there is room for everybody and if you have issues during over the next days and cannot select a target (and don't have an account already in the target) you can contact us through support and we'll move you. Also be aware that when we move an account manually, there are no relocations or comanding perks, so take a break between attempts if relocations and commanding staff are important for you.
piink This is actually a good U-Turn from GameForge to some degree, but I still do not agree with the rest of us who have to change server speed.
I play in a 2x and want to remain in a 2x it's that simple, now my options in group 2 are 1x, 3x or 6x?

So much about the upcoming merger is plain stupid.
What is really annoying me is forcing different speed uni's into these faster uni's and in turn those uni's are dead.
For instance one of the target uni's (Fenrir) has a top 10 that looks like this:

Look at the disparity, Why make that a target uni? it's 6x speed, clearly no one wants to play it - it's dead, no one I've spoken to is even considering it as an option.
I understand the argument that it leaves a good spread for new comers but no one wants to play 6x speed.
Is it so hard for Gameforge to ask it's consumers (who effectively pay their salary/bonus) for their opinion prior to implementing these non-sense changes.
We've known of an upcoming merger for months, put some polls out, open some threads, link us to a stomt - just get some simple feedback before telling us we have three days then mergers start.
You know why they are giving us these terrible choices? So we can spend money on the new item to change uni afterwards.
GF is a joke, continuous Terrible practises. If they cared they could gather the feedback from the announcement, cancel the mergers and do some people really want. But we all already know that wont happen.
I recently stopped buying DM and will likely leave oGame for good post merger.
Seriously guys we need to stop giving these suits our money for these horrendous ideas/failures.

I always feel that nerfing something is a sign of a terrible developer, it would be better for the community if they were to increase the viability of the other classes.
Off the top of my head:
Give Generals a feature were by if they are locked into within 5 seconds of a fleet then the defender can not make any fleet movement, thus promoting fleeting and skill. Making people think I will go after those big disco fleets.
Give collectors a super boast to income, say 500%, while they are online under 15mins or offline for over 8 hours. Opening up them being able to keep up with disco expo gains along with trading opportunities to give duet to generals.
These are just two quick ideas, what's stopping a full time employee of GF thinking up better and more ideas? What stops them is GF don't care about the players (or limited number) but just about getting money

But no, they nerf things and promote ways to spend DM. I believe people would by more DM if the game had more 'fun' involved, more people would play or be enticed in.
Monetisation within gaming is rife, GF plays it all wrong. The games that make the most money are fun to play and when they update they offer new ways to play - not take things away. They don't tend to nerf things and they make millions from cosmetic items which don't effect gameplay.
