Today’s defender — a really nice guy and a great sport — unfortunately forgot to recall his deploy. I always prefer when people aren’t nice, because then I don’t feel bad about the hit. But that’s OGame for you. Makes you do bad things to good people.

I simmed a solo and it was profitable, but ACS is way more fun for these big hits. So I frantically pinged all my friends, and Australl was the first to reply. Just before we launched I noticed the target had new activity. Had he come online? I didn’t think so. Looked more like probes — no planet activity. The race was on.

While flying I did the usual checks to reassure myself it wasn’t a ninja, and took various precautions. It felt pretty scary for a while but the target is usually offline at this time which gave some reassurance. Timers hit on the new activity moons I mentioned previously and that provided some further confidence.

The hit went through — but we didn’t have enough fast recs to scoop the whole DF. I was about to insta some when I get a message from MasterMind, telling me how lucky I am, along with a screenshot of him scooping the rest of the DF (4G!!). He returned it, and despite me insisting several times that he take a 30% cut for the rec support, he flat-out refused. Thanks mate

Wow, wow, wow... I don't even know where to begin. This was easily one of the most exciting and well coordinated hits I have been involved in. So much needed to happen behind the scenes for the result you see here today and it never could have worked without the outstanding teamwork I witnessed from all attackers. Thank you all so much for flying with me. It was truly an honour to fly with you.

For me, it started when the defender invaded my deploy system and mooned his mobile. Some of you may recall I don't like when people do that. Anyway, after some quick words with Master and Punisher we formed a plan and invited Quiet. Quiet - thank you again for trusting us, your ships, your efforts and your commitment were invaluable to this hit.

Mastermind - thank you for immediately jumping into action after I told you about my plan to get revenge for my deploy system getting invaded. Thanks for providing the leadership and coordination without which this hit would not have been possible.

Finally, to the defender I will say this: I wasn't looking to pick a fight with you but you really left me with no choice. It was either you, or me. I warned you the night before this hit that hunting me would not be a profitable endeavour. We have some mutual friends who assure me you are a good person so despite our tense words the night before the hit, I wish you well IRL or GLOTR should you choose to come back.

Hello Keid!

I wasn’t planning to post this, but there’s a bit of a story—and the defender threatening to report me added just enough spice to make it post-worthy.

Yesterday, I spotted the defender’s fleet and noticed low activity. Naturally, I decided to try mobile in and launch a fast attack. But by the time my ships arrived to mobile, there was a timer on his moon and the fleet was gone. Classic. I’d already spent a bunch of deut getting there (~50ss), so I figured I’d watch his DF in case he was doing a short DF FS. Sadly, I missed the 20% timing and nothing showed at 10%, so I assumed he’d probably FS’d another way. But then—his moon lit up exactly when a 20% return would. I probed. Boom, fleet’s back. He was now living on borrowed time.

Today, I got home and started scanning targets—our defender was top of the list. Guess what I found on his moon when I checked it? A 16-minute timer. I probed: nothing there. I knew he saved at 20% yesterday, and his 20% return time was ~23 minutes, so it was now or never. I watched the DF at 20%—nothing. Dang. Took a brief snack break, put on some YouTube, and checked again at 10%. Lo and behold, DF gone.

Quick calcs, launched recs, then fleet—and here we are.

Our dear defender messaged me 5 mins out from hit to say he reported me (lol). It was nice to get confirmation that I had caught something though! I didn't spy his fleet today so I wasn't really sure what I had caught but he accused me of cheating so it must be something good

It's never nice to be accused of cheating when you're innocent but I can appreciate from his perspective if he isn't familiar with DF retimes as a hit category he probably thinks I got his login details or something I kindly explained it was a DF retime and how it works to which he said he understood what I meant, but then went on to say that he had "fotos and videos" and "i send it" (reported). I told him to keep them for his memories

Anyway, enough babbling, here's the hit:

Mastermind is ofcourse correct about what he said. MC told me about this OGame mechanic years ago, but I completely forgot about it until Mastermind told me on the day of this hit.

Smiley, sorry about your fleet but it was lost either way so I figured we may as well be the ones recycling!

Mastermind & Punisher - was a lot of fun to fly with you guys! So much drama on this one haha

What a smash! Unfortunate that some fleet survived but we did what we could and profit was great so why not.

EDIT: OnTheQuiet - think you're implying Nagini is a wallet warrior? I can assure you that you are mistaken on that one. If I had to guess I'd say he's bought the least DM out of the top 20 (myself included). Look at his military destroyed lol that's where he got his fleet.

I’m back with another one of MC’s hits and oh my, would you look at who the attacker is. Sad to say this could have been my hit if I’d been one minute quicker to respond — but ultimately, MC beat me to it. You just can’t beat the best.

Truth is, after watching this play out live, I probably would’ve botched it if I had responded first. But MC, being the GOAT that he is, did not. So honestly, I’m glad he got there first.

It all started when Kikki decided to launch at Boromir, who immediately relayed all the relevant details to MC and me like an absolute pro. It’s always frustrating when people panic and leave out important details like the arrival time or fleet comp. But Boromir nailed it. He saw the launch early and gave plenty of time to get ready. Staying calm, cool, and collected under pressure isn’t easy — props to you.

Now for a quick blooper reel — starring me. You’d think my job (as Khaos), not even being involved in the hit, would be hard to screw up. Just sit back, relax, do absolutely nothing. Simple, right? Well, I have ADHD and “doing nothing” is basically my final boss. So of course, after announcing that I won’t light up my moons in our ally system I forget literally within minutes and clicked my moon.

After (deservedly) copping it from MC — and already feeling like trash because I really wanted this hit to land, especially after all the earlier drama with the attacker — I pretty much accepted that the attacker would recall and that I’d singlehandedly torched the whole thing. I mean, two moons lighting up in the target system? That’s got to be terrifying, right?

To the attacker’s credit, he actually did proceed with more caution than most — but when MC is on the other side of the hit, no amount of caution is enough.

MC, I look forward to continuing our beautiful partnership: I get myself into trouble trolling on the forums, you clean up the mess, then graciously let me post it with more trolling to get me into more trouble and restart the cycle of violence.

To wrap it up — VFR to the attacker, who showed top-tier sportsmanship after the hit and he did manage to secure a decent chunk of the df so I'm sure he'll bounce back from this in no time. Finally, a huge congratulations to the defenders for the excellent teamwork by everyone (except me). Enjoy the profits!

Sorry to see this happen Kymbo. Very well coordinated move by the attackers, it would have caught many people off guard.
