Display MoreDisplay MoreQuoteJust a heads up, doing full Lifeform and LF tech swap does take quite a while due to discoveries and Artefacts (especially if you do some f**kups and forget to leave a slot for 'Intergalactic Envoys' tech, i learned the hard way).
For reference, i'm currently swapping from Collector/Traders/Rock’tal to General/Warrior/Mecha on 14 planets, in ~5weeks i've gotten to roughly t3 research 1-3 and that's just unlocking them.

Although 5 weeks is a lot in real life time, I would assume that compared to the scale of your account it is not that much. Meaning, upgrading one of your mines might take 20+ weeks to pay for itself so 5 weeks is not that long in comparison. Would this make sense?
If not I guess I can always start Mecha from the get go. That is also fine by me.
I didn't start in Uni1 migrated from... i don't even remember where from. Been turtling and mining all the time and being hardly efficient with it.
What roughly 14planet miner could look like with little no DM usage, lazy inactive raiding & burning ~20% of resources in defences rather than progression.
Bottom line there is no such thing as "optimal class".
You have to find what is enjoyable for you and what you can do for extended periods of time.
Some can have Math PhD in OGame calculus of resource productions, some can send raids and expeditions religiously, some are excellent at fleeting and tracking what desired target sleeping patterns are 2 continents away. There might be some stronger meta but it doesn't mean that it's gonna work best for you and definitely won't work if you can't keep at it. There has been countless 'fleeters' who give up after their 1st fleet crash not learning anything and giving up, same for 'efficient' discoverers who just lazy or miners who doesn't understand wtf they are building.

Where did you guys get this information? Especially the 50bil points mark that they overpower rocktals altered c4rboN Ban . You got any source for this? Im just gonna ask to be sure, you guys understand that metropolis buffs % of % right and it boosts only technologies, not buildings. Im sure you guys know this but i just wanted to confirm :D.
Lets say you have lvl 10 metal boost which gives you 0.8% increase, with metroplis lvl 20 which gives 10% increase for techs you get 0.88% buff for that lifeform tech. From the calculations i did humans don't come close to rocktals for same MSU investment. I can't even see this working "long term" that one day if you play for 15 years you might achieve higher yields just becuase metropolis is insanely expensive building.
Please share the source if there is someone who did actually calculate all of that.
Dude just do ur math. Magma forge works for its own planet,techs work global. And metropolis 25lv for huge accs is barely an investment. Some ppl having 200% metal production via LF techs,add the metropolis value in there for every single planet,on huge accs like Tizoc on thuban or L42 it would be noticable. But like I said,"huge" accs so dont bother with it and keep running ur roks on
I see. When you say fast vs slow universe you are referring to speed to expedition right?
How fast does a universe need to be for Mecha to be better than Human. The FAQ says 100+ expeditions go for human and if you have no life you go for Mecha. But even with no life, I don't think many universes will let you do +100 expeditions per day right? Or are the bonuses from LF so strong that they speed expeditions to the point that +100 is feasible?
But I guess in the very, very late game. Rocktal + Collector becomes the best. Mines should become better than expeditions since mines can grow endless but the gain from expeditions is capped.
Well it all depends on what you want from the acc and on how long do you plan to stay.
Personal,I would go mecha/disco if playing fleeter at 150+ expos. If playing hybrid miner/disco I would go mechas on 180+ expos. All under I would go humans.
Also,in rly rly late game(I talk on 50Bn+ pts) humans can also outproduce roktals as collector cuz the Metropolis(LF tech boost building)
If you are going to be sending expos every second ure awake, either mechas on high speed uni or human in lower.
Roks are okay but with lots of expos humans/mechas come better since they both got buildings which boost ur LF techs,which means bigger increase on them expo LF techs.
Mechas got two LF buildings which boost them techs (0,4%+0,3% per lv),humans got one (0,5% per lv),but humans got better res increase buildings. So mechas in high speed unis overcome later the humans res gains from buildings with better LF tech increase.
And yes ofc,disco+traders class alliance. You can swap to some research alli when doin colos so you get bigger planets

Problem with increasing friendly speed is, it ruins a lot of peoples fleet saves. Im not completely against it. But i know a lot of players are and joined here for the speed of the uni.
Exactly as king rabbit said...no changes to speed. This should never occur in universe 1. You have other universe with different speeds so move/play there.
Then its basically,give me what I need and fu the rest.
Its always miners vs fleeters,but us discos none considers. Ure lazy to send FS on 40% instead of 80%? And no,we dont talk about war speed lol
Sadly everyone at uni1 gives an s*** only for the class he plays,but any increase benefits everyone. Some are just too stubborn for any kind of changes
