I'd play this game long term, buying DM to make a perfect account, to relocate 18 planets to slot 15,etc etc..
If I could have a server that would be there for at least 2-3 years and if I'd knew that my money won't be wasted to be rank 1 on an empty server.
I'd also consider monthly membership, special servers for people without DM, whatever. I just want to play and compete with people. Until then I think a lot of people won't play because what is the point of either spending a lot of time or money if I'd just be left with other 10 resentful people on the server that are playing just because they made the commitment of spending money and don't want to quit even if they hate being alone on a server.
