Yes, doesn't seem directly related to the last update since the problems started after the new Unis launch couple of weeks ago. The update just made it worse and completely unplayable and at that point people started really complaining. I know there were multiple tickets submitted to support in different communities during the last couple of weeks, there's a thread running now on the DE forum where they gather the list of affected unis (I think they should've asked for a list of unis where everything IS working). The only response was - "be patient"

They are working on it. as far as I can tell they may be working from the easiest to solve to the hardest while they use the rest of the patches . as a templet to fix the worst case issues.

Yeah, it's been going for days without even admitting that they have a problem and giving at least SOME sort of update (I'm not even talking about an ETA). I know this is not the first time GF doesn't give a sh!t about players and communication with them, but isn't that a fair expectation?

Yes, absolutely unplayable. Constant server errors, log outs and very slow performance. And ZERO communication from GF on any of the forums while the problem is definitely known - I know several players who submitted tickets and got a response that GF was aware. Still no updates, no information at all.

I'm constantly seeing the timeout error for the last few hours.. pasted-from-clipboard.png

It's been lagging like crazy again since the new unis start and now this.. I know it was said multiple times before but how can gameforge be relying on external tools for providing player with key functionality - calculating the fights - and not build something of their own? Should we go back to making calculations in excel? Or are there any other still usable simulators?

This topic has been discussed for years already. And I'm not getting why GF has never made it happen. It would be such a cash cow since a lot of people would prefer paying for the token (which I guess won't be cheap) as opposed to waiting for 60 days not being able to even log in, and skipping all the bonus events and daily stuff. I know the answer is usually very simple - "we'll let you know when it's ready to be released" like in this example, but really curious if there's a good reason to not invest some resources in a feature which I imagine would be highly welcomed by players and should also bring more money for GF. And from the technical standpoint it doesn't look extremely complicated - there's already a mechanism in place to take accounts to the graveyard after 60 days and it's been working pretty well. So the main functionality should be there - it just needs to be triggered by a different action - by activating a token...

I've encountered quite a few people clearly using something similar as they overthrow my bids nearly instantaneously. Unfortunately for me, I have zero experience with scripting and coding languages in general. Is there or could anyone provide some simple guidance regarding the installation and use of these hotkeys to someone of my knowledge? :D

Okay, I also saw the same thing happening in multiple universes - where 1 or 2 people are using a script to win pretty much all auctions. That is annoying and I personally think this gives an unfair advantage to those who know how to install and use such script, and such functionality should be either prohibited for everyone or made known to everyone.

It's actually pretty simple. I'm not a developer and have no idea about scripts or similar stuff so if anyone thinks something below is incorrect or insecure for whatever reason, please don't use it. Also I'm using Chrome so not sure if this is supposed to work differently in other browsers.

    1) First you need to install the Tampermonkey extension: https://www.tampermonkey.net/

Watch a short video under the Installation header on the site. It should give you a high-level idea of how it works. Here's the direct link to the video in case the page gets updated and they remove it:

    2) The video should tell you how to install tampermonkey, create, save and modify a new script. When you create a new Userscript, use the code provided on this page or in the thread above: https://openuserjs.org/scripts…me_Auction_Hotkeys/source

    It's the same code.

    3) Modify the URL on line 7 of the code. It says:

    "// @match https://*.ogame.gameforge.com/game/index.php?page=ingame&component=traderOverview*"

Instead of the first * you'll need to put your actual universe the way it's displayed in your browser so that the result looks something like this:

    // @match https://s130-en.ogame.gameforge.com/game/index.php?page=ingame&component=traderOverview

    4) Save the result, check that you can see your new userscript when you click on your extension in Chrome view the Dashboard.

Hope this helps make the auction process a bit more fair :evilgrin2:

I have an account which is in the graveyard. And I want to move it to a universe where I already have an account (I used it as a temporary account to play while waiting for the main account to go to the graveyard in another uni).

If I put my current account in v-mode and never touch it again, then I'll move my main account from the graveyard to that uni and start playing, will there be any violation? I will of course notify the GO, but wondering if there's more correct way to do that if if there's anything I should be doing differently in this case. There won't be any interaction between two accounts - the temporary one will go in v-mode before the second appears in that universe. And again - I'll never touch my first account after that letting it go to the graveyard.

So, then if it is that easy then that means you can move us to the graveyard if none of the targets are viable options for our playstyle and lifestyle?

Yeah, I would echo that! Can the graveyard become one of the options when you chose a universe to migrate to? That would make way more sense to let those who are not happy with target options, to chose where they want to go. As opposed to dictating and creating a bunch of unhappy players who now have to adapt to the new settings that they may not like. You cannot make everyone always happy, but this solution would definitely make more players happier. And it just makes sense in my opinion.

In some cases people may get really upset after being attacked - that's fine and that's been happening a lot during years that I've been playing this game. And they may decide to arrange a sort of revenge to their best abilities and send a deathstar on a looong attack meaning that you'll constantly see that red notification on your screen. Now another character just started to constantly build and send single interplanetary missiles to attack the same planet over and over. Which I guess is a variation of overview spam. I never build defence so not a huge deal, but I was wondering if the rules actually prohibit such actions or not. There is a mention of spam in the rules but I believe it speaks only to what is normally called "spam" - unwanted messages. The only thread that I could find regarding this topic was this one: What is SPAM Overview in RULES ??? GOs , MODs .. any1 ???? Hello ?? :)

Question: is there an official rule explicitly saying what spam overview is and whether attacking someone by sending ships to unnecessary long attacks or constantly launching missiles without any reason breaks any existing rules? Ignoring such players is always an option but would be great to know the official point of view.

For some players planets in galaxy view it shows List of other planets, yet some other coordinates for the same players it is simply non stop loading.

I reset cookies and UniverseView extension. All same. So far did not find logical pattern for why is it happening.

    Browser : Edge

Yes, same thing happening to me. It helps to switch to some other planet and back, and it starts working again. Also didn't notice any pattern here. Sometimes it happens, most of the time it works well.

Sorry for a bit off-topic, but just wanted to say it was fun playing in Dorado, I'll miss that time. I'm really happy to see some familiar faces in this thread and glad that my name is still remembered :)

And we all know know the fleeter # 1 and the most feared player is, right PAGAN? :)

And the top alliance was without doubt WICKED - at least while I was still in Dorado.

Agree with the best hit that was mentioned twice above - that was a good one: ACS Top 02 - [TOT: 1.825.948.000] Algo [RNR] vs. Felaggundu [TTN] & PAGAN [WCKD] (A: 1.728.500.000, D: 97.448.000) TP: 385.666.600 & Revenge Hit

30 days I think it is to graveyard your account could be wrong as I have never did it or plan to do so.

Why would you reply with incorrect information when you knew you were not sure? :) It's 60 days - and it did use to be 90 days - after which you account goes to the graveyard and you can try to move it to a uni that you prefer, or submit a ticket if that functionality doesn't work (and potentially wait for another several days for the transition to be executed manually).

Still not getting why the voting never happened for Dorado and happened for other unis, and why several players are deciding for the whole uni... But piink was supporting that for whatever reason and never explained why.

Anyhow... Just wanted to provide some numbers to support the idea of higher eco and the ability to catch up for lower-ranked players as a result of that. My account was moved from Dorado to a different uni which has these settings (pretty much what I was hoping to see for Dorado as the outcome of the voting): 1x Fleet, 5x Eco, 10x Research. The uni was about 200 days old at that time, with 360 active players, and my account was ranked #139 when I joined.

I've spent a total of 26 days there, out of which 11 in v-mode meaning that I've actually played only 15 days there so far. So in 15 days I was able to get from #139 to #81 and will keep climbing. I was able to significantly advance my research and invest a lot in my mines. Not the biggest achievement in the world and I probably won't be able to catch up with the top 10 players, but top 20-30 is looking very realistic. I understand that this is not the same as starting from 0, but a lot of players in top 100 are not very active in pretty much any uni after some point and that gives an opportunity for active players who want to catch up, to do so. At least to a certain extend. And a lot of players don't start from scratch anyway, and either move their accounts from the graveyard of take over an existing account.

Right now Dorado became a sandbox for a few kids who start yelling "leave us alone and go to graveyard!" as soon as any conversations about changes start. So totally support Vulcan_558's point above about short-sightedness. Higher eco will benefit both old accounts and new accounts which actively play. I can now be absolutely sure about that since I proved that myself. Those who spend most of the time in v-mode as well as casual players may drop behind, but that's absolutely logical. Will that bring new player to Dorado? I don't know. But looks like the decision has been made anyway and whoever is left in Dorado can enjoy a slowly dying universe without making an attempt to revive it.

It took me about 2 weeks after submitting a ticket. But there were issues with the graveyard at that time and it got disabled for 3-4 days which added to that timing. I guess it's also busy time now due to a lot of people being manually moved from the graveyard. But I agree, there should be at least some response so that you know that your request hasn't been lost.

You probably haven't read it all ...

How would you feel if you played in space where there are no targets and no ships that could endanger you. So around 12 o'clock you look and everything is fine and you go out to the family then you come in in 4 hours and you are without a squadron because out of nowhere a player appeared who has 5-6 times more points than you and you do not understand how he could get there when he really was not no one who could take you down even in the app so this will come to you that after x years of playing a player from the cemetery universe will come to your universe and immediately take you down, no blocking of the attack nothing so that one can prepare for it ... And years of playing because of that they are gone ...

I would understand that, for example, I will give at least a 48H attack ban so that players can notice when such an extremely strong player comes, but it does not exist ....

Sorry, didn't notice that the browser had autotranslate turned on and translated everything to Polish. Which I don't even speak LOL

I have read what was written and I hear what you are saying. But just like we have to live with a lot of bugs that GF doesn't care to fix or doesn't know how to fix, this is just one of those things that we'll have to live with that until it gets fixed. We know that there's no attack ban at the moment for those merging from the graveyard. So it's everyone's choice - ignore the risk or mitigate it. If you chose to ignore, the risk may become an issue - just like in real life.
