How long has it been since we formed the Fellowship of the Blue Ring? About nine months, right?

Honestly, if you weren’t all so trustworthy (yes, I mean Shogun), Blue’d have been gone ages ago instead of hiding endlessly in that VM!

I never thought he’d come back, maybe he really did sell the account to someone. But who cares? It’ll stay as the #1 hit for a long time anyway.

Seeing a dirty FS this late in the uni is a rare treat. Losing a fleet after that kind of complacency feels like the fitting outcome.

@Og, you definitely earned this one after all the RIPs you’ve lost. I’m pretty sure you’re the undisputed #1 in moons popped since the merge. Poor Legumin would agree!

Here is some insight for you. From experience DEF had/has a bad habit of not logging in when his FS comes back. But does log in withing 15-20 Mins. yet ATT here managed to squeeze in only with BCR + GEN class. cant be efeed to look at SS traveled but I can work out how it all went. @Salatin do put a few words in so ppl dont guess how you made your hits.

If you check 4:239, you’ll see it was an in-sys hit. Adding the rest of the fleet would’ve only added 1:30 to the flight time, so I don’t get why you’d go BC-only. That said, I totally second your call for Saladin to unmute! I don’t mind him wiping out the whole uni that much, but it’s way more annoying that he’s too shy to drop even a single line with his hits here.

GLOTR, Cosa. You seem just as skilled at rebuilding as at losing fleets. Not sure what’s been happening to you in Faf, seems like you’ve ended up on the wrong side of battles more often than anyone. Back in Eris, the forum was full of you being on the right side, so I’m sure you’ll find the way again soon.

Klan, best of luck with the rebuild! I have a lot of respect for you. There are far too few players with the guts to go after a main force. That said, you seem a bit inexperienced with what this line of work really demands. If you want to keep doing this in the future, here’s a little advice from someone who loves hunting whales (and has never lost a fleet to them):

1. Don’t attack players showing activity. You survived your second attack on Cosa by pure luck. A mobile and going in-sys can work around this, but you don’t have one.

2. Always set an alarm for your fleet’s return.

3. For overnight fleetsaves, either split the fleet into ~30 parts or go for a recalled deploy.

4. Treat moons as consumables. No defenses, lanxes are a luxury. Just build a gate, use it, and accept that the moon may not last long.

If that feels like too big a shift in your playstyle, I’d suggest leaving the whales alone. There’s plenty of res to gain from them, sure, but they’re also the most vindictive players you’ll ever meet.

It was obvious to everyone that Cosa got way too hyped about the merge. He started swinging at everything in sight, probably without even seeing all the planets. Three ninjas in three days says it all. And just a week later? He lost everything.

As a cetologist, I can give you a bit of napkin math. At his level, likely with metals at 51, he’s probably pulling in over 3 billion metal per pack.
Building 42k rips costs just under 600 billion metal, so that’s fewer than 200 packs.

One pack costs 42k DM with a 30% discount. Depending on the country, he could get around 10 M DM for €200 during a 100% bonus event, putting the price per pack at about €0.84.

So, those 42k RIPs would cost less than €170.

During my whaling days on Eris, I’ve taken down about 8k RIPs. That’s just €30 worth, barely a scratch.

Now, to clarify some more: when I said 'even better story,' I meant no story at all. The post was as boring as it gets. Maybe it's interesting if you know the people involved, but for the rest of us? It’s like saying: Inter Miami 0 : 0 Cincinnati. Who cares? But throw in 'Messi got kicked in the balls' and suddenly, you’ve got something.

And yes, I threw in Delphinus for a reason, to show the worst-case scenario of content, where none of us wants this to go.
