I agree %99. Rocktal seems best choice while MEcha and Human has some uses and Kaelesh is quite weak.

Lifeforms Tutorial - Question Gathering Thread

In short I gained about 150-180 levels of Tier18 Kaelesh expedition research and started to gain less resources from expeditions after I am past some sort of soft cap idk never receieved a reply for it.

It is not only underwhelming but is clearly bugged at top end.

Hello I had some questions/feedback about expedition related lifeform researchs.

I have been recording my expedition gains and their relation with lifeform researchs. Kaelesh T5 and T11 researches that grant expedition resource gain bonus are working very straightforward.

In a 8x uni with top player >100M, using a pathfinder as a discoverer maximum metal one can gain 120 M Metal and you can pretty much lets say you have %95 expedition resource bonus you can expect 120*1.95=234M Metal if you hit the max roll which is "Mineral belts around an unknown planet contained countless resources. The expedition ships are coming back and their storages are full!" and if you have enough cargo bay so you can accurately calculate what you will get and what cargo bay you need.

First expedition result 232M Metal was when I recall I had %92ish Expediton Resource Bonus and it checks out. During the following month I added some T5-T11 levels but quite a lot of Kaelesh T18 Discoverer Bonus and I was getting suspicions about the research working properly when I was around 75 levels into it.

Then I got the second expedition result 239M. At this point I was about 94-95% bonus but result was +%99.something so I assumed the T18 research is somewhat working but to what extend? Then I stumbled upon this thread and saw the talk about a cap and seeing I recived 99.something bonus I assumed there actually is a cap and made my peace with it.

Today I recieved a crystal equivalent of the expedition.

This confused me because 50 days ago;

Now this left me completely puzzled because I am sending more cargos compared to 50 days ago raised some T5-T11-T18 levels but I recieved a significantly less crystal.

Initially being surprised by that I am also shocked that I recieved 131M crystal because AFAIK in a universe like stated above (like ours, Lacerta) where you can gain 120M metal maximum you are supposed to get 60M crystal maximum and even with cap I made my peace with I was supposed to get 119Mish crystal?

How did I get 131M? Why am I getting 105M now? Why is math not checking out and I am actually going backward?
