    From my perspective this looks like a case of "hate the game not the player".


    Retaliator hit Lifetaker for profit. Why? Because the game allows it.

    Lifetaker and Predator now bash his entire alliance with rips. Why? Because the game allows it.


    I've raised the issue of rip bashing many times in other locations on this forum. You all may see rip bashing as a disgusting act by a player but I see it as disgusting game balance. I've demonstrated how broken it is in Rasalas. Here, Lifetaker does it when someone attacks him. In Rasalas, I do it unprovoked to simply wipe out all military points not belonging to my alliance.


    While you all point at Lifetaker and say the issue is "wallet players" like him, it's clear the real issue is the game balance. I was able to do the same and my account is only 500mil points after 1 year, so the problem is clearly not "wallet players".


    Until Gameforge decides to balance their game, rip bashing will continue at all levels. You can all either accept that your accounts will be flattened into oblivion without you being able to do anything about it or just quit and play a better game.

    Careful, soon you'll get some guys coming here claiming it takes skill to spam metal packs :tongue3:

    with speed of the item inventory, it does take quite some patience (which can be seen as a skillset) to open up alot of those.

    Oh yes and you have to transport everything as well, it does take a while.


    You'd be surprised at the other mental gymnastics these guys apply to make themselves seem like skilled players.

    Seems for the majority there are no good options. Same applies for me. I'm from 5x eco 5x speed Rasalas and my only option is Thuban???


    But there is one more option not listed GF don't want you to know, which I think is best option of all.


    Simply stop playing :smile2:


    If you feel like none of the target servers are worth your dedication, then take away that dedication.


    Plenty of other games to play and things to do.

    These mods, with their head far up their :censored:,will tell you it shouldn't spoil your fun but I wish that could be the case.


    Is it fun being forced to play without moons?

    The truth is there is no way to play as a fleeter in the same universe as these guys.

    Way back in the beginning of the year, a request for an economy speed increase was unanimously made by the players of our little universe. However, this request was palmed aside by GameForge and their team of (less than) competent staff under the promise that merges would be announced “soon” and such requests will be handled afterwards. We awaited our economy increase eagerly, thinking our universe was much too young to be merged into the others which have been ruined by whales and the like.


    Days became weeks…

    Weeks became months…


    As the universe's birthday came around it looked more and more likely we will be included in the merge, so we set a final goal. Something to celebrate the end. Something like clearing the universe of all military points not belonging to the Legends alliance.


    And so the bodies piled up...


    Eventually Owl was the last one standing. Between his huge defence, plasma-defended moons and his fleet never being spotted surely he was safe from us right???

    Not if Andy had anything to say about it. The mad lad obtains IPredator's account and spies that fleet the first day he gets back. We knew what to do. Some blown moons and 2 straight days of lanx spam for both myself and Jebba was all it took. Lost some rips in MDs and few hundred million in deut lanxing. Real profit was about 13bn.


    Now the goal has been achieved

    Every enemy fleet vmoded or crashed

    Every turtle's defence wiped out


    I know one can never really achieve "victory" in this game but this is as close as it comes.


    Rasalas is now a mountain of corpses, and Legends stands at the top!

    Another day, another round of fair and balanced RIP bashing.


    Defender was building up his defences fast and got to 70k plasmas. I know it may not sound like much but in our humble server it's a big deal.


    He made two key errors:

    1. Fleetsaving to a DF from his planet.

    2. Not leaving any rips behind the defences.


    His flight time was 20 hours - more than enough time to bash the defences down for a few waves then time the fleet back.


    Defender's account went from 42m points down to 18m. He's in v-mode now but who can blame him for that.

    Result of Farming Operations From the Past Two Months

    Our efforts for the last two months


    Owl left juicy goodies on his turtle planet overnight. Just needed a way to get past his 30k plasmas, 2mil rocket launchers and various others. Also has a huge fleet somewhere that never gets spotted. Our guess is a long recalled deploy from the main moon so pretty illogical that we would find it, but others in his alliance have fleetsaved in ways that defy logic before so it was worth a shot. Moon needed some coordination too because it was pretty heavily defended.

    If the fleet was somehow found, I'd have done a shoey for you all to see.


    Aim was to pop the main moon and hit the main planet quickly so old Yama wouldn't miss his bedtime.

    For the moon: 6 waves of rip bashing > 15mins of IPMs > moonpop (total 1h40m)

    For the planet: 2 hours of IPMs > rip disco party


    Few more rip waves after to clear the defences.


    Jebba and I went rogue afterwards on a colony farming and moonpopping spree.

    It is a very interesting idea but I have a few queries.


    1. If attacking from another player's depot, can the defender see both the coordinates of the depot and the original location of each fleet?

    If a fleet is sent to attack VIA alliance depot then fleet will resupply for 1s then contine on.....

    2. In the resupply period, can a fleet be intercepted?

    3. Am I correct in assuming both the initial flight (origin to depot) and the returning flight (destination to depot) are visible on phalanx?

    4. Are multiple trips from the depot permitted? ie. an attack fleet returning to the depot is able to make subsequent attacks without returning to the origin

    5. Can you go into more detail about potential use cases for this? At the moment, it seems slower, more cumbersome, more expensive and less safe than what we can do using the current ACS system if the only allowable movements are VIA the depot.

    Love the idea.

    Way I see it is for however many LF you build, you pay a "premium" to have them travel at BC speeds and consume 1/5 fuel. In MSU terms this premium starts off at 90%, and can be decreased significantly using hyperspace and LF techs.


    In fleet v fleet meta, a high number of LFs helps you beat roughly equal fleets of heavier ships with the key disadvantage of being slower. You've provided an option to remove this disadvantage at some extra cost.


    I ran some quick simulations to see the results of using SCR boosted LFs to attack equal costs of other ships. Notably with a meta more centred around attacking with LF, it would have the effect of making HF and BS a bit less crappy.


    Notes/Assumptions:

    - have NOT accounted for the presence of the SCRs in the battle

    - Building enough SCR for each LF results in a 50% cost increase ie. You produce 67% of the amount of LF for the same cost

    - Defender has 1k of a different ship type

    - Attacker has 1000*(cost ratio) of LF

    - Combat techs levels were not considered

    - 3:2:1 resource ratio
