Sweet stuff. Not going to repeat the same from the other topic, just that you love to see it.
Good luck on the rebuild defender.

Nice hit. As a neutral it's great to see some hitting up MofS. Shame to miss out on the rest. Keep them coming and happy hunting.
Good luck on the rebuild.

Another juicy hit. What are MoFs going to do when they've finished swallowing up the whole uni? 😝
Wishing a fast rebuild for the defender.

Nice hit. But what's best about all this is the attitude between players and especially Delija.
I was a nobody back then, however having returned to the game from years gone by it's sad to see the community doesn't seem to be like it once was, more so seeing players quit or go V-Mode after being knocked rather than sticking it out. Basically, it's great to see a player rebuild, and as someone else said - we look forward to the revenge hit.
Gg all.

I might not have been playing on the previous version long, and you could argue I need time with the new version, but having used it over the past several hours I feel I've seen enough to say this updated version is a big step backwards.
I'm no programmer/developer,but I imagine the intention behind updating a previous state of software is to make it less clunky, streamline it, basically make the experience better compared to the one before it.
This isn't it.
The linear bar at the bottom when in use takes up too much space. Getting about between your planets and what you want to do on them is clunkier than it was before. I can't seem to discover how to rearrange your planets order like you could before. And as for the Galaxy view, well...
That will erratically freeze/not update when in use. I could scroll along merrily and then all of a sudden it will stop updating the planets in the solar system. To resolve this you have to close the app and the reopen it.
Taking actions from your messages/espionage reports is also a lot worse. Before you could open a report, select attack, select your ships, speed and away you go. It would then take you back to your report, you could then delete it then move on to the next report.
Now with the update, when it comes to selecting the ships for an attack from an espionage report some times (probably 50% of the time, could be higher) it won't recognise the coordinates from the report (it acts as if you've just gone straight to the dispatch fleet section), so you then have to back out to the Overview completely and select your messages > reports again because going back doesn't work. Then when you finally do become successful launching an attack from an espionage report, it won't load you back to that report to be able to take another action with it (DF possibly, or just delete it), it takes you to fleet dispatch, so then you have to go back to Overview then select messages > reports again to delete.
This is just extra unneeded menu fluff that isn't needed and wasn't in existence before this update.
Edit: Also just remembered (went back to the app, Galaxy view froze straight away when trying to move solar systems again), the planet icon that was previously used to return back to your home planet's solar system doesn't seem to work either.
I can't think of anything else that in my opinion is a downgrade from the experience that was available this morning, this is just off the top of my head.
Would it be possible to suggest you make these changes optional? Have it an option to have it as it was yesterday OR as it is now (with the radial variant) rather than the option of just the linear or radial variant of this new version? Because as it stands, it isn't streamlined, it isn't working, it isn't better.
Apologies if this is in the wrong section and any mistakes. Typing from my phone. And on that note I forgot to say I am using the app on my phone.

Yeah, mine has just updated and I'm not fan of it at all. It's clunkier than the previous one which I assume is the opposite of the desired effect.
It would have been nice to at least have an option to use the old one or new one. Instead we just have an option to use two new ones (linear and radial).

Oh yeah, the server speed does feel nice compared to what I remember. I'd imagine those that like to hunt others fleets enjoy it more. 😝
Unfortunately I don't do Discord. Nothing against it really, I'm just lazily old-school. 🤣
Only negatives I have about the game and returning is me forgetting the time sink the game can be (it seems everyone around me now has a moon, so I'm being extra cautious) and I'm not certain on the activity of the server(s). I'm not sure how busy Aries is or if I want it busier thus creating another account on a potentially busier server (if there is one)?
Personal issues that are minor for sure.
I'm currently trying to convince a buddy to join but he's never played anything like it before and I don't think I'm doing it any justice. 😝

Finally able to create an account. So I'd like to say hello too.
Returning player here, but was a drop of water in the ocean of what the game was back then. Played in Uni 2, was in a clan of friends but quit after losing access to the internet and never bothered to return when gaining access again.
Did start again several years later after the game entered my head (was replaying the Mass Effect trilogy at the time if I remember correctly). Can't remember what uni that was though. I think Dark Matter was pretty basic then? Expeditions was new also.
And now here I am today. Game popped into my thoughts, I thought I'd check to see if it was still going, and here I am 2 weeks later (?) I'm still invested.
Still yet to wrap my head around the Lifeforms addition. Wish I looked more into the Class thing before choosing what I did but won't lose any sleep over it. Was never much of a fleeter to I'm happy plodding along at my own pace at the moment.
