Given that i scrapped a whole chunk of my fleet yesterday, i was really not expecting to be flying ships around today! I spotted isolated activity on a moon whilst i was farming and couldn't resist. OK this one was silly and unexpected. I spotted a player who was fleetsaving by transport to a planet. it arrived back at 4am but was worth 5.5k recyclers worth of debris so i thought it was worth setting an alarm for. come the time, i am bleary eyed and not quite awake but i manage to time a 2 second phalanx somehow. whilst i am waiting for it to hit i start casually looking around and spot islated activity on a nearby moon. sure enough 11 expo fleets have just landed. so i take a punt and launch on them.
The irony is that the person i had phalanxed came online and after chatting a while about how NOT to fleetsave in future i recalled (I'm not a total ass to newer players!) but luckily this one landed. And was worth more. way more. SO the moral of the story is early morning alarms can sometimes yield profits, even if they are from unexpected places.
GLOTR defender, blame the newbie. i shouldn't have even been awake at that time!!!

I was asked to help out on an ACS defence against a Moon Destruction mission. Needless to say i pooped my pants when i realised who it was i was defending against. I calmed down when i was told that he had been banned (Not sure why the fleets were still flying if banned, but *shrugs*) i was at work so had to try and time it between meetings on the worlds oldest and ropiest phone. the times sucked, but i was reassured that it was not a problem. Then one of the attackers alliance mates showed up in-system and made a moon. i began pooping myself even more as i was certain i would get whalloped by a covering fleet as my defence would be sitting on the moon for a few minutes.
Luckily no covering fleet materialised and the defence was a success. thanks to Ismackadatazz for allowing me the opportunity to try out ACS defence for the first time. Sorry for being so dramatic on messenger, and i'm glad the moon was saved. I managed to sweep the debris so it actually made me some resources which i didn't expect. Again, i haven't figured out how to include the Reaper debris collections so it was actually a bit more profitable than the report suggests, but i'm old and tired and i can't figure it out.
GLOTR attacker if you decide to come back once the ban ends.
