As a Fafnir player looking at all the current merge options, I believe this proposal should be reconsidered.
The characteristics of Fafnir are completely different from those of Universe 1, for example. Moving from a faster universe to a 1x speed environment is a massive change in gameplay. How are players supposed to realistically adapt to such a different pace after building their accounts around completely different universe settings?
Another point is the huge gap in account progression between universes. When comparing Fafnir and Thuban, the Top 3 account in Thuban already have more points than the combined total of the Top 100 players in Fafnir. How can this be considered a fair or balanced merge?
When planning these merges, Gameforge should take all these factors into account instead of merging universes simply for the sake of reducing their number. The massive differences in speed, economy, fleet development, and total points between universes need to be carefully evaluated.
This is not only my personal opinion. It reflects the concerns shared by my entire alliance and many of our allied players as well.
